I wish I was reading this with all of you, but obviously the book is still popular since there's a line for the hold - I want it on audio because I've heard it's good, otherwise I'm sure I could find a dog-eared copy around the house somewhere. I really want to know my house! Although the one I'm in (slytherin) doesn't seem all that bad. :)

My copy of Dune that I am currently reading (at page 200!) is brown? And it is 512 pages.

I'll be joining in here - after I read Dune. Lilac Girls was good...

You are so talented! At reading AND dress-making. I'd fall for that cute face too. I'm only 100 pages in to my first book (400 to go) - it will take me over a week. I wish I was a fast reader, but.
Enjoying Mother's Day by watching my 15-yr old daughter play in her soccer tournament. They're in the championship game! Just a few more hours to go...I'll be bringing my book when I need some stress relief. :)
10 pages of landscape! Ugh. The Thorn Birds is on my TBR- I'll have to remember that when I get there. :)I can only have 2 books going at a time. One reader and one audio. Otherwise I feel I won't be able to keep them straight.
I think I'll be starting out with Dune (long book; for GR group), White Houses for RL club once I get a hold of a copy & I need it soon, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone for the buddy read points for here. After that I know I have a few more RL book club reads so my schedule is pretty set. Ack!

@Abbey - I think we own a few of the HP paperbacks, but if it works out on my schedule better to try some audio, I for sure will do that. You make it sound real exciting to try the books that way, and I have seen bits and pieces of the movies - they do seem well done.
I'm here! The fellow Minnesotan (with Abbey). To check - when does 5/12 reading start if we are CST? duh....My shelf: https://www.goodreads.com/review/list... (hope this works/correct)
Also - I've never read a HP book (although 5 years or so ago my daughter tried to read the first one to me in the car and I could really not pay much attention) so I'll be reading one here and joining in the buddy read challenge for points. :) Already posted there that I would be joining in. Is there a minimum number of comments or discussion answers to leave on any of this?
I also didn't get the house thing so if someone could explain the personality of the Slytherins that would be helpful! Snakes? Cunning and ambition ? - OK!
I love the Draco/Malfoy picture posted (my son's name is Drake :)) and I love all quotes so it will not matter which one you go with. There's some cute ones listed for sure.
I read pretty much anything (yet not romance - ditto on that). And ready to have fun!

I would love to read this series - I'll join in here for the first book - I'm on team Draco Malfoy. My daughter read this to me over 5 years ago, and honestly I couldn't hardly listen as we were always in the car. :(Maybe I'll have to share again, now with my youngest who is 8.
