Also, no for brown (too much green), and I would prefer not to use books in the 200 page range except as needed for page numbers or really hard prompts. If we count all our read books so far, we are at 106% and we can only go up to 110% so we need longer books again. We were only at 96% when the mini started. We have read a high number of books.

Yes, that is very clearly snow

We just need a 500-650 page book that #3 in series, which should be pretty easy

I would go with no on cat but we can use one of the many The Master and Margarita for cat easily.

Also, I found a book I want to read today and it has a piano on the cover and MPG Music - The Ballad of Perilous Graves

The book I was going to read for snow and 500 pages may take me a bit so anyone can feel free to grab that space or I'll get to it sometime. I just need some fluffy books for a few days due to some real life stuff.

No rush. The book will likely take me a few days minimum.

My lightning books is for one of our orginal monsters. We need two lightning books right now.

The Lamia has been spotted on your lands and the disappearances of children are on the rise. Requires some planning and moderate effort to defeat, look to the stars for the answers and to the shadows for the monster.
To vanquish this monster you must:
1.) Read a book between 200 and 299 pages (inclusive).
2.) Read a book with the night sky on the cover.
3.) Read a book where someone is kidnapped.
4.) Read a book that features a prophecy.
5.) Read a book where a child (under age 18) is an important part of the plot.

Truitt, my book was quick and quite fun so I recommend it if we get more harpies. My library had an ebook copy available so that was easy.

I realized that I still have my lightning book to finish so that needs to happen next. I just am finding it slow, and I read less during the week.

DQ's Day 4 - 19th June

16. So in addition to her past life as Gullveig, Angrboda is also the Old One, Mother Witch, the wise old woman in the woods and a healer. I can understand wanting to forget about her time as Gullveig but why do you think she can't remember anything from the time before? Do you think she'll recover these memories at some point? She's recovered her power, with a little help from Freyja but still seems to be holding back. How powerful do you think she really is? Do you think she'll go all in and if so what do you think will happen?

I have finished the book but I always thought it was a combination of age and trauma. Both might make a mind decide it is better to not remember.

17. "There's no power in the cosmos that can escape what's coming". Angrboda, Odin, Skadi and a few others now know about Ragnorok and, with Loki killing Odin's son, his punishment and the start of the long winter it seems to be the beginning of the end. Do you think it's better to know what's coming like Angrboda and Odin or would you prefer, like Loki, not to know? Do you think knowing or not knowing will make any difference to what happens? Do you think there's anything Angrboda can do to change the outcome?

Like most prophesies, I think the flexibility is in what is left out and both parents have to work within the structure of what is known.

18. "I'm the one who's done the most evil among the Aesir, and if nothing else, at least they'll remember my name. That's more than one can say for you." We know a lot more about Loki now, what do you think of him as a character? Why do you think he acts the way he does? Angrboda thinks Loki may have killed Baldur for his daughter's sake. Do you believe he genuinely cares about Hel? What about Angrboda and his sons, do you think he loves them or are they a means to an end? Will Angrboda forgive him despite all he's done?

He is clearly badly damaged and wants to be loved in unhealthy ways. I think he loves He; possibly more than anyone else. I also think he loves both his wives but isn’t strong enough until the end to make the decisions that need to be made.

19. It seems like Skadi and Angrboda are on the brink of becoming more than friends when Skadi announces that she's joining the giants in the fight against the gods. She wants to go down fighting for her people and to avenge her father. Were you surprised she wants to go out fighting rather than staying with Angrboda? Has this changed your mind about why Skadi accepted marriage in recompense for her father's death?

It is true to her character as demanding justice for her father and this gets developed further when Angroboda asks for her to stay.

20. We're moving on to the final section now. What do you think Angrboda will do now that she's alone again? Do you think she'll be reunited with her family? Loki? Any predictions for how it will all end?

I think what is known will happen but there is room for others to join Baldur on the other side.
