I find it difficult to differentiate between the two; for me, it's mostly: does the story prioritize the romance = pnr if not =..."

👍🏼 years ago I looked into common breakdown of the two and here’s what I (and others) found and shared about both: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

33903 Very true. They do color outside those lines. Can be fun to read, but harder to firmly classify.

33903 I’ve recently seen a few books tagged as horror that to me, someone who likes to read a gory, creepy horror, don’t read (blurbs) as scary.

Ex: One Dark Window (The Shepherd King, #1) by Rachel Gillig

Maybe you’ll find something that’ll fit and be more inside your comfort zone 😊

Happy almost August, y’all!

33903 Yeah, anything with same H/h vs changing couples' HEA would be UF + Romance, for sure,, not PNR. I really enjoyed her Demigod series. And, thought Magical Midlife was a fun read, too.

33903 Hi everyone! Thanks again to all who played in our 25th round of BSB. Your feedback on this round is, as always, appreciated and will be taken into consideration for future rounds.

Just a quick head's up: Our "how to play" and rules pages have had some revisions. Most are things repeat players will already be aware of, but will be helpful for any newbies to know.

Of note for all, I wanted to make clear, going forward:
Throughout the game, if a player must drop out, we will do our best to find that team a replacement player. At times, that's not possible; in those situations we will likely allow a team to continue with fewer players. However, if a player must leave the game during the week of a potential winning shelf announcement, no replacement player will be asked to fill their spot, which will disqualify the team from winning.

If you'd like to read through the rules pages and our FAQ list, they can be found here:

If you have any questions, feel free to leave them here or send a PM to myself or Sandra.
