Just got back from half price books, picked me up Once and Always, Devilish and Love Wild and Fair. My last post was 10 days ago... I am so weak! LOL

Master of Rosewood - 1854 South Carolina plantation romance-adventure
And I just edited it to add the bit about our glorious initiative. :D
I just gave up trying to c..."
Great review Karla! Whoo hoo! Is it silly it makes me happy to see that "This book review has been provided by the No Book Left Behind Campaign! A Bodice Ripper Readers Anonymous group initiative to review the un-reviewed!" at the end? LOL I love it!

I know what you mean Tonya! It is hard to put your feelings about a book into words! There is a reason there are so many two line "It was good. I liked it." reviews out there, because writing reviews can be hard! What do I have to say about this book? I don't know, it was good, I liked it. LOL But I think it is a good thing to do for our fellow readers! I know I appreciate a good review when I am out searching for books so I should try to return the favor!
Jeanine wrote: "...if you have more than 50 books on your shelf, get librarian status and help add descriptions and covers..."
Jeanine, I had no idea 50 books was all it took! How exactly can I get librarian status? That is awesome!

Every time you read and review and un-reviewed book on GoodReads post your review here (or a link to your review) so that we can all check it out and express our gratitude!
If you are new to writing reviews here are a few ideas to get you started:
Briefly summarize the plot/story line and characters in the book in your own words or include the summary from the back cover (if you do this be sure to note in your review that it is from the back cover).
What did you like about the book? not like about the book?
Were the characters likable?
If you could change something about the book what would it be?
What do you wish you had known about the book before you decided to read it?
Was it a light easy weekend read? Or was it a bit more dark and heavy?
What other books (or authors) could you compare it to?
What did you like/dislike about the writers style?
What kind of reader do you think might enjoy the book? Who do you think should avoid the book?
Consider including "content warnings" example: Warning this book is not for those who might be offended by rape, incest, extreme violence, sex with a horse etc... you know the kinds of things some people might want to avoid even it you didn't mind it.
And the most important part of all...
This book review has been provided by the No Book Left Behind Campaign! A Bodice Ripper Readers Anonymous group initiative to review the un-reviewed! LOL OK you don't have to include that last part, I just think it would be kinda funny if we did :)

I will be posting a review sometime soon, but just some initial thoughts:
The characters were flat, nothing to them. No mixed emotions, no turmoil, I didn't understand their motivations for anything they did, just flat flat flat. Eck!
The ending was frustrating for me. It just kinda ends. No indication of how things work out for Roger or how Ravina chooses to deal with her marriage to him. You know that Ravina and Brian are together but I still can't call it an "emotionally satisfying ending". We are dealing with some pretty complicated family dynamics with Roger, Brian, Ravina and Sabrina but not really given any indication about how that all works out. Very frustrating. The author just doesn't get it!
The prologue's at the beginning of each book are ridiculous. The voice just does not match up with the rest of the book and it really thew me off. Completely unnecessary and just confusing for me I guess.
I could go on... there were lot's of things wrong with this book, but I don't know, maybe I am in a forgiving mood... I still enjoyed it. :) Can't really call it a bad read. (Maybe a bad romance tho)

No problem :)

I believe what I said is "That is the weirdest thing I have ever heard!" and it is. I cant imagine just remembering what page or chapter I am on in a book. Weird! LOL
I use bookmarks. Ummmm..... hello, that's what they are there for! Sometimes I use a receipt or scrap of paper but usually I use a bookmark. Unless I am reading on my Kindle, then I don't need one obviously. Have I mentioned how much I love my Kindle??? :)
