Ummm.... Whitney takes place 8 generations after A Kingdom of Dreams, so you don't have to.But if you ever want another tear jerker, read Kingdom. Royce Westmoreland is one of my top ten heroes ever.
You're welcome. When they did the special edition about 170 pages were added and some lovely traditions from A Kingdom of Dreams are shared in Whitney.
Be sure you get the special edition of Whitney, not the original. The SE was released in like 1994 or something like that.

This sounds like an interesting series. No PNR?
Pamela(AllHoney) wrote: "I'm reading Something About You by Julie James and loving it!"I added this one to my TBR pile, Pamela. It looks like everyone loves it!
Ann, I really, really liked Again The Magic which is the prequel to the Wallflowers series. If you're going to read the Hathaways, I'd suggest reading Wallflowers first because the people from Wallflowers are also seen in Hathaways, though you don't HAVE to read them first. Most all of her books are worth reading, honestly, but because she does revist characters through out her series, I'd try and read whichever series in order.
Thank you, Ann. I added Thunder and Roses to my TBR list. These are the Dodd books I have: Move Heaven and Earth, Candle in the Window, Castles in the Air.
But I've only read Castles. I'll give the others a try, too.
I haven't tried AQ yet, but I read Castles in the Air and thought it was just so-so. What do you recommend by MJP? And how is the steam factor?
Oh, please do try Lisa Kleypas. She has several stand alones and several series as well, but her series are pretty short... no more than 5 books. I'm reading the Hathaways series right now, but I loved her Wallflowers as well.
Oh, good!!! I have 3 favorite HR authors - Julie Garwood, Lisa Kleypas and Julia Quinn.... although, I'm really enjoying Olivia Parker's books, too.
Thank you for the input, Julie! I decided to start with Kleypas' Hathaways, because I'm forgot I'm using the TT for the All Things Summer challenge on LK.
That's what I hear. I'm looking forward to reading it. I've developed a hankerin' for cowboys lately!
Well, I finished Pregnant by the Warrior, At the Bride Hunt Ball, To Wed a Wicked Earl and Wild Fire as part of a June reading challenge. All of those books have weddings in them. Now I'm going to start the Texas Trilogy's, Texas Destiny. I hear they are excellent, Pamela. Is it true they aren't really steamy?
Yep! Wouldn't it be great if they had their own story, though? There'd be plenty of plot for them, with her work and all.
Yeah, I want to see Doc have a great one, but I really want Nate and Juliana to be happy... a real HEA, know what I mean?I love Gerard's Bodyguards and BOIs series.
