That does happen to be, too. Pamela. In the words of my favorite OCD tv hero, Mr. Monk, it's a blessing, and a curse. LOL It's a blessing because it helps me clear off my TBR pile, but a curse because I run out of things to read and end up buying more to feed my need.
I feel like Monk! When I planted roses, they had to be symmetrically placed and color coordinated, too. I'm a mess I tell you, A MESS!
Carolyn, is Immortal Danger part of her... oh, no! I can't think of the first book in the series... Deadly Fear?
I've heard wonderful things about that series, Pamela! I have 1 on my eReader and a couple I found at used bookstores.
Pamela(AllHoney) wrote: "lol that is definitely a good reason... OCD... need semmetry... "Don't tell anybody, but this happened to me! My kids put together 3 lovely bookshelves and organized my books so beautifully - but the 3rd bookshelf had 3 empty shelves!! I kept looking at those shelves, I'd twitch a little, look some more, twitch some more... finally I made a run to the Friends of the Library store! LOL
I think I'm a generous rater, too, but honestly, I almost always enjoy what I'm reading. I do read reviews so I can find out WHY a person maybe rated a book very low or really high, and then I make my decisions. There are people on Goodreads whose opinions/suggestions/recommendations I totally trust because we've been loving the same books. There are others who I take with a grain of salt because our tastes are so different.
When writing my own reviews, I TRY to explain why I rated something a certain way.
I'm currently reading my way through the Princes trilogy by Elizabeth Hoyt. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but these books are not it. I'm really enjoying them!
8. I have an empty shelf on my bookshelf and it looks uneven. It's driving me crazy. I need balance! I need more books!
I really enjoyed Olivia Parkers debut novel,
as well as the sequel
. Since she's only the 2 books, I consider her a lesser known author.
You're welcome! I reviewed both, if you're interested, but there are probably spoilers. I hope you love them :)
