It's so weird, but like, I picture Sebastian St. Vincent from Devil in Winter as a dark complected male. Tall, thin but not scrawny, with very dark hair. I was floored when someone said he was blond.
I like that series, Pamela. There's some serious **eye rolling** moments, but for the most part, I find them enjoyable.
Yes, I hate it when it feels like a scene was tossed in there because the publisher required 2 blowjobs, 1 hand job and 4.5 orgasms by the heroine.
LOL! I've read some hot scenes that took place in a hospital bed - think Wrath and Beth! So even then it's ok in my book...For me, I want to know that it will propel the relationship to a HEA ending. I really don't like gratuitous sex just for the sake of 'getting off' unless the H/h end up together.
I read Shoot to Thrill and the hero and heroine have barely escaped being blown up in a plane and are now running for their lives from some terrorists. They find a tiny cave to hide in and start bucking like funnies! Man, they are goin' at it! I still liked the book, but wow... that one had me ***rolling my eyes***
Covers are important to me, but I want the men and women on them to match the descriptions of the men and women between the pages.
Welcome, welcome!!! I remember Barbara Cartland, and I see tons of her books about! I love the picture of her on the back with her jewels... LOL
I'm so glad you joined us, Kate and BJ!!! We're all about the HEA!!!
Julie, I actually went through about a 2-3 week period recently where I did exactly that. I wouldn't allow myself to read more than 1 book per genre back to back. It helped me clear the cobwebs and I was able to get my backlog of reviews caught up to.So, I guess I'm a little of both.
I've not heard of Wendy Stone, but I guess that's the point of this thread! LOL I'll check her out. I like trilogies and stand alones for those times when I don't want to get into another long series.
