On average, how long does it take you to write a book? Do you listen to music to inspire you? If so, what kind? Do you have a designated writing spot? Or do you write wherever you're at?
Another KA fan, eh?Have you tried Jill Shalvis' Lucky Harbor series? Or you might like Toni Blake's Destiny series. And Lisa Kleypas' Travises series or her Friday Harbor series.
There are a lot of people who say the Extreme Exposure was not their favorite. Hopefully, the other books in the series will work better for you. What authors do you like? Maybe I can think of someone that might work better for you.
What do you do when you have writer's block? And has it happened to you often or at all? Also, I'm interested in what made you decide what time period to write about? Do you have a particular interest in that era?
Love the answers so far!
Do you have problems coming up with names that fit with the period you are writing? Have you ever been asked to change a name for whatever reason? Thanks for gracing us with your valuable time! We really do appreciate it!!!!!
Do you consult with other writer friends when a scene doesn't feel right? Do you have a group of writer friends that you talk to or email regularly?
Woohoo! I have really enjoyed the books I've read by Sarah MacLean so far!I'm interested in who influenced you in writing? What authors "spoke" to you? What are some of your favorites books?
Most important characteristics are honesty and a supportive nature. Someone with good hygiene and good eating habits. (I want him healthy!) He doesn't have to be over 6 ft tall with a bodybuilder body. Non-smoker and not a drinker. If he has to have a beer during the game on Sunday or a glass of wine with dinner on special occasions, ok. I like Syndey's answer. Calm, patient, compassionate, faithful, strong in his beliefs and convictions. Would be nice to have a sense of humor but not a prankster. Someone who will laugh at my jokes even though they really aren't funny. Someone who will say "No, honey, those pants do NOT make your butt look big!".
As far as looks go, I said it already, healthy! I don't need a handsome man that other women lust and drool over. Just one I can lust and drool over ☺
Oh, and someone who will listen to me. Even if he is right and is determined to have his way, I want him to listen to me and then he can tell me why he feels his way is better.
Iliada, sometimes I think I read too fast and maybe I don't catch everything I'm reading but I can't slow it down. It's the way I read naturally. Plus I'm a stay at home mom so I have more time than some people to read.
lol, for me it is. I normally read a book a day ☺ If I'm reading Harlequins, Silhouettes or novellas I can sometimes do 2 a day.
Kryptonite wrote: "Me too... I read them in the same order. The only one that was not as great for me was Naked Edge. But Breaking Point was up there with the first 3 books."Same here. I liked Naked Edge but it wasn't as great as the others IMO. And I loved Breaking Point too. Can't wait for the next book in the series.
Kryptonite wrote: "I really hope you enjoy it too. The first book I started with, in that series, was unlawful contact."I started the series backwards too. Read Unlawful Contact first, then Hard Evidence and finally, Extreme Exposure. I loved them all.
I don't normally have anyone specific in mind when I start reading but sometimes they morph onto someone as I read. I'm influenced at times by the TV. This can be bad if I'm trying to read in the same room with the TV on. If my daughter is watching Spongebob Squarepants for example, I'll find myself with spongebob stuck in my head as the hero. UGH!
