29443 I hope I will be able to start this series soon.

My favorite March hero was Gavril Prakenskii from Earth Bound. Lethal but loving. Great combination.

29443 I have to vote for Batman. As much as I respect and like Superman, I completely identify with Batman. He's just a man who made himself into a superhero. He doesn't give up, ever. He was a little harsh in the movie for bit though. Hard to watch that.

Great movie though.

29443 I still need to read that series. I've heard good things about it.
29443 Fun installment, Arch.

Cop is definitely in the dog house with Sanjar. He is very protective of his mother, afraid of her attracting too much male attention. I like seeing his home life. I like that his mom doesn't take him seriously at all. And that he takes good care of his family. He's a good bad boy. :)

I too love my hot dogs burned. :)

29443 Which superhero would win according to you? Why?

Which one is your favorite? Why?

29443 I especially like the rakes with a spinster or wallflower, old maid, Amy.

DHASG April Challenge

Introduction: April is here. Lots of showers and flowers, so that's a great combination. Hopefully lots of good reading too!

Rules:

1. Any DHASG member can participate in the challenge.
2. Books must be read between April 1st and April 30th.
3. A book may only be used once for this challenge.
4. Post or link to your final stats when you are completed.
5. In your stats, list book name, title and date read. Unless obvious, include why you choose a certain book in parentheses in your stats.

Levels:

1. Book Storm: Read 9-12 books.
2. Book Puddles: Read 5-8 books.
3. Book Drops: Read 3-4 books.

Categories:

1. April Showers Bring May Flowers: In honor of this old saying, read a book with lots of water, of any kind. Be it a watery setting, lots of stormy weather, or a cover with some sort of water on it.
2. Libraries Are a Bookworm's Best Friend: Week 1 of April is Library Week, so let's celebrate libraries. You can read a book you checked out from the library (including ebooks), or read a book set in a library or with a lead character who works in a library of some sort.
3.Let's De-Stress: Since April is Stress Awareness Month, how about you can count any book you read this month free. Take some time for yourself and de-stress by reading a good book.
4.AA's Make the World Go Around: For Week 4, Administrative Assistant's Week, honor an AA by reading a book with a lead or prominent character who works as an administrative assistant.
5.You're No April Fool: For April Fool's Day, show you're no fool by counting a book that you read this month and give at least a four star rating.
6.PB and J: For National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day on April 2nd, do indulge in this classic. Also you can read a book represents that incredible combination to you. Based on 11 Facts I didn't know about PB and J, you have a few options here: You could read a historical-setting book; a YA novel: a book with a lead character in the military; a book with a rich lead character, or something else you come up with (let us know).

7. National Tartan Day: April 6 is the day to celebrate Scottish heritage with this day. A tartan is the pattern we associate with kilts and the plaid that a self-respecting Highlander wouldn't be caught without. Read a book with a character of Scottish heritage or descent. It could be historical or modern. It could be set in another place than Scotland, as long as it touches on Scottish heritage.
8.The Sky's the Limit!: April 14th is Look Up at the Sky Day. For this day, read a book that involves space, the sky, or heights. The main character could be an astronaut, space explorer, live in a high rise, or enjoy sky diving. You could also use a book that has sky on or space on its cover.
9.Lookalike Day: April 20th is this day which is to celebrate looking like someone else. You could read a book where the lead character resembles someone else closely, maybe they are a twin or are the spitting image of a relative, or it could be a clone or doppleganger. You could also read a book with an imposter who is pretending to be someone else. If you think of another fun way to meet this challenge, let us know.
10.Lover's Day: April 23rd is another chance to express your love for someone. For this day, read a 2nd Chance at Love or Lovers Reunited romance, or a book with a character who has had an unrequited love for another character that is fulfilled by the end of the book.
11.Take a Chance Day:April 23rd is also the day to "take a chance". It could be playing the odds (as in a gambler), or someone going for it, doing something they normally wouldn't do. Read a book that represents 'taking a chance."
12.East Meets West:April 25th is the day where person or persons geographically separated meet. You could read a cross-cultural romance (Asian and Western couple, a book where a British and American get together, or even a bicoastal romance). Another option is to read a book where a character goes on a long journey (from East to West or vice versa).

29443 Thanks, Ladies. I'll check out the recommendations. Like Cindi, I would love to read more non-historicals with Scottish heroes. I love me some HIghlander romance, but modern Scottish heroes would be delish as well.
29443 Dawn all promotional emails should be posted in the promotions section. As a courtesy, I moved this. Next time, I will delete it.

No worries. I think we all like what we like. Kudos for sharing!
29443 Thanks! I'm glad I was able to get some writing in. I am inspired to write more when I can. I feel like the story has some momentum.
