christsakes, bbc, that's twice now! in reviewing the essential looking film of the origins of 'rock against racism', 'white riot', and whilst running thru' artists involved, m.kermode named steel pulse but backroom boys at bbc showed a picture of misty in roots! i mean, really! not because i happen to know what these bands look like, but because this is potentially offensive carelessness!

what i'm saying is that none o' them bands (or even breeky eno, for that matter) could ever be what kraftwerk are - a thing!

it is indeed. i'd totally forgotten that single. it is funny tho'. that it didn't sell!

yes, that's all very well and good, but it's (as well as and in conjunction with the music) what kraftwerk did with it. i mean, what is neu (and for that matter, t.dream and the others) to people now? anybody with desert boots, jeans and a synth can make a record, but to create something so unique, influencing, complete, closed in and utterly identifiable the world over, well, that takes real vision.

i'm not disputing the similarity to early kraftwerk of some german electronic pioneering outfits, i'm talking about style!

and wtf does brian eno know? 😜
