268590 'tomorrow belongs to me'

after all these years it just occurred to me that s.a.h.b.'s 1st 4 albums are titled after cover songs contained within - funny what you don't notice sometimes. anyhoo, the title song in question here is the rousing, anthemic, and, depending on whose viewpoint you take, (i would go with the jewish writers of the song) controversial 't.b.t.m.', from 'cabaret', in which it's meant to convey the fear of the nazis taking over in 30s germany, but taken as a nazi call to arms by certain other factions, however, subtle changes in the lyrics indicate where alex was going with the song.
also, way ahead of time is 'the tale of the giant stone eater' a cry for the fear of the future of the planet, '......and another tree dies of shame' must be 45 years since i heard this in it's entirety.
268590 he de-prog-rammed them!

268590 everybody knows rock music was generally rank, and at it's peak of blandness in the early 70s, except for the jakey glam glasgow genius that was alex harvey and his sensational band - apart from each other? hmmmm.......together, sheer theatrical invention!

'framed' from

the perfect set of the 5 'peak' albums (yes, i even love the 'live' one) for around £2.22 per slab. the records never sold as projected, the real headline was the live show, but these will always be a vital component of my early teens.
268590 efterval,

three dog night? oh, i'd thought it was a world record for nocturnal canine molestation! a band? oh, never mind.
