the femmes first couple of albums struck a deep chord with those too young to have been at ground zero for punk, and were heavily into rockabilly/psychobilly. when working in record shops at the time, we couldn't keep up with the demand from this sector re these (brilliant) records.managed to catch their live show at the turn of the century, the trio, occasionally supplemented by a horn section, were red hot and tighter than a djuck's erse, roof almost came off the garage when they performed the song i nominated.

yes, nice news, isabella.but if you're a garden denier, like me, it's a lot of work! uncharacteristically, i have spent the greater part of the last two days.........er,........gardening!
i have mowed and trimmed the velvet lawns (picked up the slobbery skittery jobbery, placed for my benefit before i was even finished, trimmed hedges, re-arranged plants/pots, thrown out those beyond help, created a decorative pot (with slate monolith) for one of the solar floodlights, cleared away various rocks/bricks/chunks of concrete, painted the rims of 6 plant boxes, painted part of the fence, even found time to read my book in the dog toilet...sorry, gazebo, and you know what? it all looks no bad!
....there will also be thrilly drawers!ding dong!
hmmm, might be a last minute rush!although i haven't sold it yet, i discovered, on checking, my 'cut' by the slits album is one side silhouetted (there are 3 variants - silhouette both labels, silhouette on neither label, and the rare sihouette on side 1 only) originally had it for £65, but 3 other copies are selling for £200ish. fired it in for £190 hoping for a quick sale.
you have to be extra vigilant in ensuring you're selling the absolute correct version/edition/pressing of whatever record. had to refund a buyer of a yello tape as i had the wrong colour of shell up for sale! i mean, really? he was quite right actually.
yeah, from what i can make out, it won't leave me out of pocket - if it's added to the order automatically and collected with the discogs fees (25th of every month), it should all be fine, other than the buyer having to pay out.i'm not selling worldwide, only uk and europe, and don't often buy from rest of the world, effect should be minimal. see how it goes.
this glorious weather is keeping record buyer's money in their pocket - a week last monday i sold 'london calling' (£65, it had a couple of marks on the vinyl), and **** all since. git rainin'!

actually, and there's nil sour grapes involved, but the b.b.c. news are actively promoting the fact that, the rapper stormzy, attended an after match party at the home of a stranger - footage was shown of attendees in very close proximity, not a mask in sight! can now assume that matt hancock got a job at the b.b.c.!
