from the same source as the above, and acquired for another version of the vivian jones song, surprisingly good mini-album's worth of dub/version from the french based 'bat records' - track 3 is absolute killer, and worth the price on its own - ok, the price is 'name your price', so free if you like, but such good quality from an unlikely base for reggae/dub, it would be rude (boy) not to!

i actually tried to put my finger on what irks me so about the english national team, and i do have a definitive answer

yes, i;m Scottish, and it's my job to wish them ill, but that's not the answer.

an element of the support are racist, violent, self-serving, hooligans, but then they've always had that rabble in their following, so that's not the answer.

the media go into sickening overdrive to the point that 'oh by the way, other teams will be involved', but that's always been the case, lineker and shearer make decent tv, so that's not the answer either.

the players are a talented group that entertain whilst doing their day jobs, so that's not the answ.......oh **** it! it's harry kane (sorry, foe), i cant stand the way he looks like he just fell off a beavis and butthead storyboard. i can't stand his 'i've got a very boring' voice, and the meaningless keech he spouts. i'm allergic to him. there you go!

vivian jones is obviously trying to save reggae single handedly - check discogs for the amount of singles he's sang on in the last couple of years - this is an exceptional tune, and comes with 4 additional versions for a little over a fiver. vocals recorded in the uk for a french label, sometime you have to look in the oddest places for some quality roots.

how did it end? i dropped into a boredom induced coma whilst dreaming about having seen better games on a subbuteo table! however, you can't hope to go toe to toe with 'play not to lose' experts and come out tops - why was rashford not deployed to combat this torpor? you can't bring penalty takers on cold and hope for them to perform to their max!
