genuinely excited to have both the above tapes in digital form - the badger sisters album seems better than i remember, but sure ain't a lost classic. further tweaking is to take place and the results sent to me. still can't remember titles, but i'm sure that they're written on the box the masters are in - will need to send an expedition into the loft to retrieve.

the records in question are among the finest electronic albums to come out of the u.k. - no question! along with ian craig marsh, martyn ware created the music/sound of the human league (pre 'dare'), so fair enough. no phil oakey? not his project? it was often said that glenn gregory was picked for h17 because his vocals were a rough approximation of oakey's, so fair enough(ish).
all things equal, i'd probably go.

discovered this absolute stoatir of a comp on 'reggae archive records' - the entire output of 4 x 12" singles plus the unreleased 5th from the catalogue of short-lived 'sound 'n' pressure' records from the early 90s - a time when few (jah shaka for certain) were producing digital reggae and dub with a real feel for roots. 'warm the nation' and versions are the headlines here, but quality heavy digital with certain organic elements (melodica, percussion etc) woven in, throughout. actually, superb!

this is getting hammered, one of pere ubu's finest slices of subversive pop, remastered,remixed, remodelled by david thomas, removing 3 songs altogether and editing down others - playing time reduced by a good 20 mins. i'm not familiar with the original format, but must bow to mr thomas's judgement.

and staying with.....picked this up for 4 poonds, a promo for the box set of the same name containig 6 tracks that are mibbe the best from albums i wasn't really knocked out by (at the time)
