Liz...
(view spoiler)[ If you actually look at the cover of the next book, (at the end of For the Heart of the Warmaker), you see a panther shifter with a little cub walking down a road. That is your answer, I think that Genie's HEA is with the guy who left with his son, to keep his son out of danger. Now that Joyce has introduced the "Crows" I think that he will have to return to the ranch to find protection from "The Warmaker" and "Hair Trigger", and let's not forget the polar bear women. Because Karis cannot shift, I think that she will need a bit of protection from the ever present crows and the panther has already proven his worth by killing the panther alpha.
Joyce might give Ramsey an HEA, but I seriously doubt that it will be Genie. She might do another series grouping about the Crows.
You should at least read about the Boarlanders and their HEA's and their childern's HEA's. (view spoiler)[ (hide spoiler)] (hide spoiler)]

Lisa I think that you are right, I love your blowtorch analogy. That sounds about right. I liked that Manny played a bigger role in Novo's recovery and Jane was in the background. I wonder if the V/Jane trauma will be occurring at the same time as Novo's stabbing. We've already seen him attempting to stray and Jane's complete immersion into work.
I would have never put the BDB under the Unicorns and Rainbows banner. Theirs is a violent world, fighting lessers, and now the "dark entity", the power struggles, the glymera, and hiding from humans always made their relationships more tenuous. I do love that title, "Unicorns and Rainbows for ever"! Maybe we should ask melindeeloo to make it a shelf, LOL!
Did anyone else see that Ward has a short story coming out on March 13th,
Dearest Ivie?
I do enjoy her short stories, the story of Son was creepily great. Has the Ivie story, like the Story of Son, occurred in any anthologies that we know of?
Also, because this is a separate discussion, do we need to post in spoilers? I will in the future or re-post if that is the consensus.

I really liked this book. I liked Peyton and Novo. She has always been a strong character and it was very good to see Peyton's soft and stand-up side. I felt that her anger was a tad bit too drawn out for me. Not that she didn't have just cause to be wary. Her ex, Oskar, was a milk sop. Her sister Sophy was a money grabbing two-faced bit*h. I hope that they have a terrible life. Manny and Novo's tit for tat when she was recovering were some of the best lines. They both gave as good as they got.
The tiny peeks into the perimeter characters are always a tell for Ward. I agree with Lisa, I think that Luchas and Romina will be partners.
I loved the rapport between Wrath and (surprisingly), Saxton. Rhage, Blay, Quinn, and V were excellent. I liked that they helped Saxton out, and Saxton, who knew!! I liked his vengeance and the old-school marking. Ruhn's life was similar to Zsadists in a way. I loved the old lady and her house and all of it's history. What a sweet touch in the end.
I can't wait for more info about the mystery pre-trans woman that Rhage recognized in one of the previous books.
I like the Legacy series because they are about new relationships.
I'm not enthused about Ward's latest penchant for trying to tear up previous Brotherhood couples.
I am excited for
The Thief.
I really liked the Sola character and I want Assail to have an HEA. I wonder if Ward will have a book or short story about Assail's cousins.

I agree with Lisa, (a 4* read), but to be fair I haven't read the last book. There are people here that are really big fans, they probably have a more expert opinion than me.
I finally finished
Blood Fury I thought that it was a good contribution to the overall BDB series. There were lots of Brotherhood cameos, the relationships were complicated and intense. I would give it 4*'s overall. I want more!! ;-)
I have started
Storm of Desire.
I really liked the introduction to this series and I am looking forward to reading this second book.
I applied to NetGalley for a couple of the upcoming popular novels, but they refused me. I think that I need a web site and a blog or maybe a couple of hundred more reviews, LOL!!

Thanks melindeeloo that's a great idea. I added the first book of the Lady Julia Grey series on the historical shelf. Funny thing, it used my full name and when I post it just has Vanessa. Weird.

Fang Fan have you read anything by Meljean Brook?
The Iron Duke
is the first book. This series also has one of my favorite books,
The Kraken King.
Have you read
Fated?
These are excellent on audio.
These are not the best written books but T.S.Joyce's books are all free on KU. I found that I went from book to book reading to get everyone's stories.
Have you read any of the Iron Druid Chronicles books?
Hounded
How about anything by Ann Aguire, Grace Draven, Bec McMasters, Lindsey Buroker/Ruby Lionsdrake?
For fun, the Kristen Painter Nocturne Falls and the Everlasting, Me series are fun. As is the Jana DeLeon Miss fortune series, which is hilarious on audio.
I'm trying to give a variety, some are more popular than others.

Re: Mike Briggs... I met him and Patricia at the Dallas RT. There was a reception after the yearly award ceremony. Patricia had just received a lifetime achievement award. Elizabeth Hunter, Grace Draven, Cherry Adair, and a couple of others were all talking to her. She seemed a bit nervous or overwhelmed but was slowly settling down. I was standing with my friend, Grace's sister and Mike Briggs. There was such love and adoration on his face. We joked and laughed for a few minutes and eventually we wandered over to Patricia and Grace. He took her hand and it seemed like everything was OK again. It was so simple and yet so sweet and that is the picture in my mind when I think about Mike Briggs. I got a chance to tell him that I enjoyed his posts and he was just as funny and at ease as he appeared to be online. I am most grateful that Patricia can still write and I hope that she has friends that can love and support her.

Is there a reason that every time I look at this discussion that the "Peleton" bike add shows up? Is someone trying to tell me something? LOL!! ;-)

I finished
How to Date Your Dragon.
I thought that it was fun and light and just what I needed today. It was easy listening and I would love to visit this series/town again. 4*'s for me.
Liz, let me know what you think when you finish,
For the Heart of the Warmaker.
Also, I think that you might like some of her other shifter "clans". Some are pretty funny, oh and re-occurring "disasters" are a Joyce trademark of sorts.
I am still attempting to clear my audio TBR, so I am listening to
The Pearl Thief.
Which takes place in England in the late 1930's and just pre-dates her other book that I have listened to
Code Name Verity.
Which is a fictional book about women RAF pilots, and I think that the h of the Pearl Thief is one of the side characters in the Verity book.
On kindle, I am still attempting to read
Blood Fury.
I like the book, I just haven't had much time to sit and read. I hope to finish it in a day or two.
LAB☺ wrote: "It amazes me sometimes how random people on the internet are just so obnoxious. If I don't agree with someone's review and I don't know them then I keep my mouth shut. What is with some people and ..."I say good job LAB. I think that you were justified in your review and your responses to the two "trolls." Also, I'm pretty sure that I have never given a bad review that I could not justify with examples, and you obviously think the same way. I know that people mis-type once in a while, but obvious grammatical errors just jump out at people and take away "their" credibility. Thanks for the grammar posts Kristi! LAB, I loved your "tip". ;-)
On audio I finally listened to
Shadow Reaper.
It was fast paced, (I do hate when a book lags). I liked the storyline and the h, Marika, while raised in abuse, didn't let that be a way to push the H, Ricco away. The smex scenes were a bit long, (a Feehan trademark), and I thought that I was going to read yet another book with bondage in it, but that wasn't what the focus of their relationship was about and it was more art form than bondage. I would give this novel 4*'s. I really like the "shadow rider" aspect of this series, it is a unique spin on the UF/PNR genre and I will definitely read the next book in this series.
Next on audio is
How to Date Your Dragon.
Thanks melindeeloo for the rec. I think that it is just what I need a funny, romantic Harper story.

I knew that I had read something like the scenario Paula described. I'm glad that TINNGG figured it out.
I read the latest T.S.Joyce quicky,
For the Heart of the Warmaker.
It was a peek into the weeks after the events in
For the Heart of an Outlaw.
This was a little visit into the Karis and Colt relationship, the conflict with the "crows", and the first tourist family trail ride in an attempt to bring the Two Claw Ranch. The ending has a couple of surprises, which I guessed at. I like these books and I feel that the author is really smoothing out her storylines, and the writing is better planned and has a rhythm to it. While it was a short story I feel that it was a 4* read.

You know melindeeloo, who would have thought years ago that we would be writing "overly sexy"? Just teasing! :-}

Doug... Where did this malware problem come from?
On the reading side....
I listened to the next book in the Winternight trilogy,
The Girl in the Tower.
This is the next book after
The Bear and the Nightingale.
I liked the second book better than I liked the first book. Arden's use of medieval Russia with a blending of Russian Folklore was much more fluid in this second adventure. After events of the first book, Vasilisa, who is able to see "creatures" that others cannot, leaves her home in the Russian Wilderness for the life of a traveler. Accused of being a witch, she sets out with the help of the "winter king", Morozko, and on her horse Solovey, dressed as a boy. Now known as Vasya, (a boy's name), she makes a name for herself as a competent rider, among other things. She catches the eye of her cousin, the Grand Prince, who takes her into his inner circle, thinking she is her younger brother, to Moscow. This Russia is in constant turmoil, allegiances blow back and forth and court intrigue is the national sport. In this world, a woman is secluded until she gets married by arrangement, or is sent to a convent. I liked this second book and feel as if Arden is hitting her stride. I can't wait for the third book of this interesting trilogy.
I have been reading the latest BDB Legacy book,
Blood Fury.
I like it so far, but I haven't had much time to sit and read.
T.S. Joyce just released a story about Karis and Colt,
For the Heart of the Warmaker.

Wow, the early release of
Storm of Desire
is great news. I loved the first book,
Heart of Fire.
Vinity... I had a great time reading
A Treacherous Curse.
I agree, Raybourn did a great job on this book. ,
(view spoiler)[I love the ending, or rather the "blocked" ending, his brother sure has good timing. When are Veronica and Stoker going to have "the talk"? LOL!! (hide spoiler)]On audio, I finished the third book in Shannon Mayer's Venom trilogy,
Hisses and Honey.
It wasn't a spectacular series, but it had a lot of Greek Pantheon gods and interesting scenarios. I would give the series 3.5 -4*'s the final book wrapped everything up nicely.
I decided to go ahead and start the second book in the Russian folklore based series,
The Girl in the Tower.
I've just started it so I don't have an opinion yet.
I also started
Blood Fury
and so far I really like it. The Black Dagger Legacy books are so much like the original series started out to be. Don't get me wrong, I still read the BDB series, because I have read it from the beginning and I will see it to the end. :-) When I finish I will post in the Buddy Reads discussion.["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

I don't know if people here have ever checked out this web site, (I actually know that a few of you do), but Wicked Scribes has a list of UF/PNR -"101 series to read before you die". I actually have read many of these, but some are completely unknown to me.
https://wickedscribes.wordpress.com/Also, she does a fantastic job of printing release dates by month and date. If I didn't look at her list, I might miss some novel release dates of some series that I read on occasion.

Sorry Doug, we must have crossed in our responses. I was watching the Patriots game and now I'm into the Vikings/Eagles game, and didn't finish my post for a while.

C... First of all welcome!! We talk about everything here, books, movies, TV, home life, everything.
You might try the Jane Yellowrock series by Faith Hunter. Jane is a shapeshifter, and a vampire hunter, who actually knows little about her own past. You go on her journey with her. The first book is
Skinwalker.
Another series by the same author that is sort of entwined with the Jane Yellowrock series is the Soulwood series.
Blood of the Earth
is the first book. Also, if you do read the Jane Yellowrock series, read the short stories in the various anthologies. They all have pertinent information about the main characters.
For straight up fantasy I like anything by Grace Draven. Some novels are stand alone and some are part of a series. Try
Entreat Me
or
Radiance
If you like Steampunk there are a few series worth reading,
The Iron Duke
by Meljean Brook is excellent, in fact her
The Kraken King
which is a part of that universe has one of my favorite Heroes, Ariq. This series has an HEA for a different couple in nearly every book.
What else do you like or have you read? I'm sure that someone here can give a great recommendation that you will enjoy.

Sorry, to continue, --
Claimed in Shadows
will be out on Tuesday. This is book #15 of the Midnight Breeds series. This used to be a go to series for me, now I don't even know how many books behind in the series that I am. Does anyone here still read these? How are they? I did like the younger generation re-boot, but I haven't read one in a while.
Paula are you reading the Gemini and Lorimar Pack books in the Black Dog world too? Have you read the side story with her roommate, the kitsune? (Can't think of her name offhand).

The latest book in the Nocturne Falls spin-off, the Jayne Frost books came out last Tuesday,
Miss Frost Braves The Blizzard: A Nocturne Falls Mystery
I find these entertaining, they're funny and light reading.

Lulu... I agree that was a ridiculous scene, especially what the "ex" said loud enough for the restaurant to hear. I could hardly finish the book after that. Then
(view spoiler)[ Indy goes outside when a car explodes out in the street, hello? Didn't someone just do that to the "ex's" car? And, you were told to stay inside. For a cop's kid she was so stupid, no self preservation. (hide spoiler)]I finished
A Treacherous Curse
I know that it isn't hardly mentioned here, but this series is just getting better and better. This was a 5* read for me. Veronica and Stoker are such a great partnership. Vinity have you read this yet?
On audio, I think that I will finish the Venom Trilogy,
Hisses and Honey
On kindle I am reading
His Lordship's Last Wager: A Regency Romance Between Bitter Enemies
I love the humor in this book. There is a sharpness to it and such a formal prose. They are so very dignified when they are denigrating each other. I love the "bear".["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
