21857 At first the idea was terrifying, but by the time we wrote the exam we had read so many papers about the topic and discussed key ones, that the essay wasn't too bad. We were allowed to come and go as we liked so we could take a break as often as we needed as long as we finished on time. I go decent marks for all my subjects 55-70% range, even though I was working full time, so it can't have been too intense!

21857 Hope you have a great year. We also choose our exam dates in my Zoology Honours year. Exams consisted of writing an essay in 8 hours, fully referenced. We could take whatever we wanted into the venue (computer lab) but could not access internet during exam. We did not know the question before the exam but had to read as many articles related to the work we had covered to be prepared.

Excursions should be fun...

I was checking out which books you choose as some of them looked really good. I noticed that Cloaked in Red is only 127 pages long, which means it can't be used for a challenge. Sorry! The sequel to Cinder has just come out though and would qualify for this task...
21857 Finished

Task 2: Cinderella and Cinder - Hated by her step-mother (Based on the Cinderella story so basically the entire book is a connection.)

and

Task 7: Revolting Rhymes

21857 I'm finding this really slow reading so taking breaks with other books. My new goal is to finish it by the end of March

21857 Just read Cinder.

Awesome book. Thanks for the nomination, Claudia. I want the rest of the series now, not over the next three years...

21857 I will take pics if I can, but it depends on if we actually catch any and what work the Boss tells me to do when we have the shark on the boat...

I spent this morning helping get a stranded dolphin back out to sea and then snorkeling around collecting samples for a PhD. The sunscreen forgot to jump out of the bag and onto my skin, so a day at sea is going to interesting tomorrow!

21857 What did you get?

Lu, I really enjoyed the challenge even if I didn't win so you gave more than a physical prize!

Is that the new Sherlock Holmes? Set in America with Lucy Liu as Watso..."

Yes. I didn't know much about it before I watched. My brother said I would like it and I knew it was something to do with Holmes. Only watched one episode so far, but enjoying the different take on the Holmes idea.

21857 Oh, I watched the first episode of Elementary the other day. Very good, looking forward to more of it...
21857 I think I will buy Revolting Rhymes, and maybe a Grimm collection for this challenge...

21857 I work with shark researchers and they all say the sharks basically leave them alone, even when they get tagged, they just swim off.

21857 I agree that the head scientist chick is just annoying!

The Jackson scene is classic! Loved it.
