I just started this one over the weekend. It’s too early to tell, but I think I like it.

I am still struggling to get through this one. I’m reading two other books that I’m really enjoying but I’ve yet to get into this one. I don’t think it’s a problem with the story itself. I think it has more to do with the style in which it’s written. It reminds me of The Great Gatsby but is about poor characters instead of rich characters. If I can’t finish it by the New Year I may have to DNF it for another day.

I’m still reading this book but since there’s still a week left in the month, I feel confident I’ll finish it before the month is over. So far so good, but I do think it will be more impactful to new and aspiring authors.
