IWSG Member BookDiscussion day is here.
Feel free to share your reviews, try the 3 questions listed below, ask questions of your own, or simply sit back and see what others have to say. This discussion will remain open indefinitely.
1) Do you consider yourself an equine enthusiast or equestrian? What are your thoughts on the breeding of racehorses?
2) Near the end of the book, the mystery evolves into a crime thriller. Did you figure out the mystery before the answers started to reveal themselves? If you didn’t read the book, what is a mystery you figured out before the reveal?
3) Any books, TV shows, or movies about horse racing you’d recommend?

For some reason, the link isn't taking me to your review.

Glad you enjoyed your book. I'll check out your review.
Leah wrote: "I guess knowing how difficult it can be to make a story come together at all, much less well, I don't feel right leaving negative remarks about another author's efforts. That's cool that you are re-reading a childhood favorite for the Horse Crazy challenge.
I totally get that writing bad reviews is tough. I try to be as honest as I can without being hateful and hurtful.

Ronel wrote: "For the month's theme, I tried "Black Beauty" by Anna Sewell. It didn't go well because of my own triggers. Here's my review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show......"I'm sorry Black Beauty was triggering for you. Glad How to Survive Load Shedding was good for you. Hope the Something Dark and Holy Series ends up being good.
I just started The Orc from the Office by Kate Prior: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6......"Sometimes the silly reads are the best.

I'm currently reading:
In Darkness: The Vampire https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/7...
and
Spiral of Hooves https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3... (book club quarterly selection and Horse Crazy theme).
I'm hoping to add at least one more title before the end of the month.
Thank you for joining the group and offering your thoughts. This discussion is still open (our discussions stay open indefinitely) but it has been archived, so you may not receive much response to your queries. I, unfortunately, don't have anything new to offer to this discussion beyond what I've already posted in the past.
Please don't let that stop you from trying other more recent discussions. We are happy to have you here.
I didn't pick this one up this month because I'm taking a break from nonfiction for a while. I did add it to my TBR and purchased a copy to read later.
Welcome one and all. In the words of C.S. Lewis, “You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me.”

Don’t be shy, go ahead and let us know what you’re currently reading- it does not have to be the book club selections. Goodreads links are welcome, but titles are authors' names will do.

Here's what I put in place of a review. https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...I'm in a bit of a reading slump but I have a plan to get out.
Yeah, whenever you read a book with exercises in it, it’s going to take some time to get through it.
