213642 Do y'all want one for Dec?

Angie and I talked about not having one for the holidays just because of holidays and most people being busy. But if you all want it, I can put it up. I forgot on the 24th but was going to on the 25th until we decided to skip it. I meant to put a note up and did forget that. :/

213642 I do have a trick, for those of us without the older, well non-tablet versions of, Kindle. It's basically the same thing, it searches all the text for all your books. I will get to writing out what you need and how to do it, for those interested. **Making sure it makes sense before I post it.

I might have to make the next round harder though, well with regards to the Vocab words / locations at least. :) Though it may not be books I'd read, I found all 5 vocab words and 4 of the 5 locations. I've found Tórshavn plenty, but so far not the exact phrase of "Tórshavn, Faroe Islands".

213642 I love it as well, I guess no one else knows of it? I just learned of it this past week and it's really helped me. I never have any motivation to do things since I sit around and do nothing, but it's given me a goal and helps me do things. It's insanely fun to hear the little experience up tone. :)

I can't wait to get to level 10 so I can change my class. I've never been a warrior type, but lean towards Mage or sometimes Rogue. Think I'm gonna stick with Mage for the extra experience.

Which hour was most daunting for you?
4-6am, my eyes were really hurting and I was already tired anyways, but for the 11th Dewey's in a row, I went the full 24 hours. It's always fun. :)

Tell us ALLLLL the books you read!
See Below

Which books would you recommend to other Read-a-thoners?
In general? Chronicles of St Mary's, Great Zoo of China, The Martian..... from what I read? All Systems Red by Martha Wells, Chase & Escape from Linwood Barclay

What’s a really rad thing we could do during the next Read-a-thon that would make you smile?
Nothing, I just read and don't go to the site much.

How likely are you to participate in the Read-a-thon again? Would you be interested in volunteering to help organize and prep?
I'll definitely read as always.

Dewey's 24 Hour Read-a-Thon Stats

It's time for Dewey's! This is my 11th one, so I'm gonna be a little lazy and reuse some of these answers and this opening statement as well. Ha! I keep hoping the questions will change one of these times, and they don't... Ah well. Here's me!

Opening Meme:

1) What fine part of the world are you reading from today?
Sparta, NC ~ the middle of no where. :)

2) Which book in your stack are you most looking forward to?
No specific titles stand out. I haven't been reading this month very much, not like me anyways, so I'm just looking forward to HOPEFULLY settling in and getting a bit of a reading groove back. Going to mix things up with some short stories, novellas, some middle grade books, Netgalley books and anything else that grabs my fancy.

3) Which snack are you most looking forward to?
Well, for the first time, my answer is different because I don't have any snacks yet. Usually I'm all prepared leading up to Dewey's, but that didn't happen yet. Hubby will be bringing some when He gets off work at 3 so I gotta do without til then. I asked for Reese's Pieces, soft baked pretzels and some kind of Goldfish, either Smores or Birthday Cake. Got some Reese's Puff for breakfast and no good lunch either which stinks, but oh well, just how it worked out today.

4) Tell us a little something about yourself!
HI! I'm Karsyn, over 40 (though much much younger in spirit), deeply in love with and married to my high school best friend. I LOVE to read, obviously, and am blessed with a ton of time to read. In a typical month I will read 15-20 books, often more, and when there's something going on, like Dewey's, I read a ton more! This month has been a another low month for me. Beyond my books, I'm a gamer, and I built my own Gaming PC, 3 years ago, which I named Widget (after The Night Circus character). Widget is GREAT and we've had so much fun playing games on him!! Right now if I'm not reading, I'm playing Jurassic World Evolution.

5) If you participated in the last read-a-thon, what’s one thing you’ll do different today? If this is your first read-a-thon, what are you most looking forward to?
This is my 11th Dewey's so I'll do what I've been doing, try to read at least 20 total hours of the 24, if not a little more with the help of audios. My Hubby is working (it's always easier to read when He isn't here) so I hope to get a lot in before He gets home at 3.
Oct 18, 2018 08:12AM

213642 I finished my B book this morning. Sorry for the delay, I didn't get to read any with working on WH13 the last few days.

Angie is traveling today but knows I finished and will likely start her O book while on the plane here in a bit, so she'll probably finish it up today or tomorrow.
