I'm so confused (not by the writing - it's so well-done) that the killers didn't even take anything (or take much) from the house. right now i don't understand their motivation or how they even found out about this family and i want to know! i feel terrible that a poor innocent family has been killed over what seems to be nothing.
so i'm really liking how the story is unfolding because there is a lot of suspense here.
edited to add: I really liked the one part where it was quoting Mr. Fox (bonnie's brother) about forgiveness. In my copy it's on page 107.

The way the story switched back and forth between the killers and the victims was so chilling. Knowing it was the family's last day on earth was so disturbing.

Wow, it's so good already and I'm only on page 27... Going to jump back into it on my lunch break! can't wait to keep reading.

Dessi, I made a thread for in Cold Blood! I will go to the library either today or Saturday to pick up my copy so I will start the book this weekend.
Thread here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

SYNOPSIS: On November 15, 1959, in the small town of Holcomb, Kansas, four members of the Clutter family were savagely murdered by blasts from a shotgun held a few inches from their faces. There was no apparent motive for the crime, and there were almost no clues.
As Truman Capote reconstructs the murder and the investigation that led to the capture, trial, and execution of the killers, he generates both mesmerizing suspense and astonishing empathy. In Cold Blood is a work that transcends its moment, yielding poignant insights into the nature of American violence.

OH! I couldn't remember where I had heard of The Dry; now I remember it was in the celeb thread. So I guess I did read two books for March because I ended up reading that one, too! It was really good.

I really loved the book. I'd definitely recommend it!

SYNOPSIS: There's a killer on the loose who knows that beauty is only skin deep, and a trainee investigator who's trying to save her own hide. The only man that can help is locked in an asylum. But he's willing to put a brave face on - if it will help him escape.

Maybe I'll try to make all the books I read in May to fit this challenge, we'll see!
EDIT: going to start tracking books under a spoiler cut
(view spoiler)

I definitely want to read HIdden Bodies, too
