57. The Demon's Lexicon-***-Any book that set's an important and mystical goblin market in Tiverton has thumbs up from me"There was a statue on the high street that reminded him of a knife" (In joke lol)
56.The Thirteenth House-***-Gillengaria heads towards war. Good but Kirra was hard to sympathise with sometimes with her choices"I think Cammon's like the rest of us," he said... "He'll fall in love where it's most extreme, and where his chances of success are least assured."
55.Snuff-*****-I admit to being the most biased person in the world when it comes to Terry Pratchett and especially to Commander Sam Vimes."I meant, Mister Po-leess-maan, thank you for believing that goblins have names"
[short]The Queen in Winter-When Winter Comes (Twelve Houses 1.5) -***- This story follows Sosie and her sister - the young mother that Senneth saved in Mystic and Rider as they flee their father to try and find a place safe for mystics[short]Quatrain-Blood (Heart of Gold 1.5)-****- This is what Heart of Gold should have been - the structure of the story is so much better and focuses a lot more on character interactions unlike Heart of Gold where the first half was entirely exposition. The world's still a bit flat (Avatar syndrome maybe) but the characters made this really likeable
+ Flame (Twelve Houses 0.5)-**- I didn't really need more on Senneth and didn't really learn anything new about her here at all
[short]Nightflyers-****-Spooky spaceships FTW[short]Firstborn-****-Failing military space commanders FTW. Na actually I'm serious, I loved Denni
54.Ender's Game-****-The story of how the military ruins a young boy, ha, that's harsh, but also kinda true. I really liked this book but it is depressing at times, thoroughly worth it thoughHe held up his limp hand. "See the strings?"
[short]The Vampyre; a Tale-**-The classic is rather fun53. Angels of Darkness-****- 3 of my fav series get an anthology!
My fav here is Sharon Shinn's Nocturne - this is the sweetest little thing (which happens to be the song I'm listening to right now ha). I wish she'd write more Samaria (Just all the time, I'd take a novella a month, please)
"If I was as irksome to the others as the angel was to me, I finally understood why some people despised me."
Also there's a cute novella from Nalini Singh - Angels Wolf which is about Noel who is to die for. And Radha and Marc's story from Meljean Brook which was good but needed to be longer! Haven't read Ilona Andrews yet, I like them, but the first page was dull and I stopped half way through another book to read this anthology today, so will catch up when I'm done hopefully
51.Mistborn: The Final Empire-****-I have got to stop falling in love with book guys! This was brilliant but I'm a bit worried about how the ending will impact the next 2 of the trilogy(view spoiler)
52.Bloodlines-*-Everything Vampire Academy was this is not. Rubbish
I always shop around and see what's cheapest (p&p tends to up the price of seemingly cheap books,) there are loads of online stores, though amazon being such a giant wins out most times
Donna wrote: "53. "Demon Marked", Meljean Brook. FINALLY!!! Oh, how I miss Borders....So, it started out with a sort of way to get to the last book feel, but then, oh then, and then... OMG!!! OMG!!! OH MY GOD!..."
Ha I know, OMG!! Michael's book cannot come fast enough
49.Lover Avenged-****-Back on form, have to read the next one right now (aww- well of soul)"East side's what you want."
[short]Father Mine: Zsadist and Bella's Story-****- There's something in my eye... honestly..."You make the world go away for me..."
3rd quarter report:48 full length, 5 rereads, and 8 shorts at the moment.
Lots of solid 3-4 star reads, but only 2 5 star books this quater - Demon Marked(which of course was always gonna be fantastic) and Double Cross(which really surprised me and just blew me away)

Currently reading
which has potential to be brilliant
46.Touch the Dark-***-The author bit off more than she could chew47.Wanderlust-***-Seemed like a bridge between book 1 and 3, still love a good space opera
“We find heroes, not on battlefields, but in hospitals that tend the injured. Sometimes I think it’s easier to fight than it is to heal.”
48.Lover Enshrined-***-Sebastian Bach is my least favourite brother, but considering this is his book it was actually more focused on John Matthew and co. which was great
"For fuck's sake, get off the cross. Someone else needs the wood."
[short]Foreplay: A Succubus Diaries Prequel-**-Had this freebie on my kindle since reading the first, just a rehash of the backstory for that book
[[Off topic: [author:Meljean Brook|24009] is doing a Goodreads Q&A here: http://www.goodreads.com/group/show/5... The only questions I can think of all involve - what's going to happen to ... ?]]
I brought a Kindle for the same reasonDidn't stop me buying books at all. I just can't see my problem this way! Love it
