20370 I'm nearing 13,000 and reveling in the pressure. I'm not sure I'm cranking out anything worth reading but I'm enjoying the ride. :o)

20370 Stalk, stalk, stalk...The word has lost all meaning.
20370 Daniel, I have to agree with Paul. The monkey one sounds highly entertaining.

Hi, Paul. Fancy seeing you here. It's like I'm following you, or not-so-subtly stalking you...

Hey, Paul. Glad to have you here. Really. You're not scaring me or anything. Not at all. "Easy, boy," she says, turning to pet the dragon at her side. "You may only eat him if he tries something silly."

How many books? (14 new)

20370 Do books given away for free count as copies sold? Or does actual money have to exchange hands, so to speak?

For example, do my 30-odd copies of Spellbound that have sold at smashwords count as sales even though they were downloaded free with a coupon? Or are we only talking hardcopy books here?

Thank you for any help...

20370 I've been hearing lately that the UK Amazon is far more author-friendly than the US one. Goes with the US attitude, I suppose. (Does that sound bitter?)

Great news, Gina! Just out of curiosity, how close a friend was this person? Someone who was there for all the drama or just heard it all from you? Perhaps a secret friend of your own "Guppy" neighbors?

20370 I would like to know, what is the other side when someone tries to run you down with a car? Is there another side? Can you and your hubby actually be so sickeningly sweet that running you over is what you deserve? (Have I remembered the correct near-death incident from your interview?) Meanwhile, I think this person wants your hubby. Sounds jealous. Just saying.
