Local libraries aren't very kind to indies (at least not in Bucks County, PA). I walked into a local branch last fall with $100 in books and offered them the lot. They wouldn't take them. Instead, they handed me a form to fill out on which I could "suggest" their purchasing one of my books for their shelves. I completed it, sent it in and (wait for it) never heard a word.
Later that year, at a complete disaster of a library system-sponsored "Indies Day" (at which they hosted more than 80 local indie writers, almost all of whom sold nothing because the library system did no advertising), I spoke with the head of the system and told her of my experience. She said she would look into it. Two weeks later, I received the same form I previously had completed in the mail. I threw it in the trash.
I want nothing whatsoever to do with the local library system.

Just read the current issue...it's a blockbuster! If you haven't opened it yet, you are in for a real treat!
Congratulations, Team IAM! This is your best one yet!

Actually, the Kindle edition had been on pre-sale for three months so it went live at midnight. And when I couldn't sleep last night, I got up at 3:15 a.m. and hit the "publish" button on CreateSpace for the paperback edition . (;>) Never let any moss grow under your feet!

It's almost too obvious, isn't it?

Hahahahaha...pretty, pretty bad...the two of us.

Thanks, Erica.

Should be fun. BTW, one of the flash fiction stories in Book 4 of my series features, by name, a merchant in the area served by the newspaper. This, apparently, was the "hook" that garnered the call from the reporter.

"Your story made me stop and think about life and what it’s all about."

Dale, congratulations on your Editor Choice awards for January, 2018, from Indies Unlimited.

If that was directed to me, no, I'm not doing any promotion at all.

Might say something about book sales!
Maybe audiobooks is the future for those who don't have the time to sit and read paper or eBooks.
