I agree...I've had problems on two proof orders...in each case, they immediately reprinted the entire order and delivered the books by expedited UPS. First class customer service.

201765 I've had cover color and alignment problems with my CS covers (glossy), but never glue issues. If you're not pleased, I would call them immediately and discuss the problem with an agent on the phone. They will ask for the number printed at the bottom of the last page of the proof. Just go to their site and click on Contact Support. At this time of day, you'll get someone in SC or Costa Rica. If you call early in the morning, East Coast Time, you'll talk to someone in South Africa.

201765 Thanks, Anna. And welcome, Thomas.

201765 The quality of the three paperback illustrated children's books I published this year with CreateSpace have been superb...both the covers and the interiors. Could not be more pleased.

201765 Are people really willing to open their wallets for hardcover books? I looked into publishing one of my books in hardcover, and the price I would have to charge even to make $1 in royalties was so high that to my mind, it wasn't worth going to the trouble to set up the book. It's hard enough selling paperbacks these days.

[added note: I understand schools and libraries want hardcovers (vs. paperbacks), but the royalties paid on wholesale purchases are so low (assuming they even know you exist) as to make the entire endeavor questionable.]

201765 Okay...just sent you the info and the money for a second book. What the heck...in for a dime, in for a dollar. Let me know if you got the info and the $$$$$$$.

Thanks for all your good work.

201765 Okay...will ship four sets of my three illustrated children's storybooks. I ordered them last night, so it's going to take a week before they'll be on their way. Happy to help. The books were a big hit with the 1st grade at a local school late last February:

201765 Carole, I'm thinking of submitting my three children's storybooks and my YA novel...that's four books...is the cost still $10, or does the cost increase for multiple submissions? I don't want to take advantage of you. (I didn't see that issue addressed above, but I apologize if it was.)

201765 I'm interested. I have three illustrated children's storybooks (grades 1-2, generally) and one YA mystery/thriller. Would drop ship directly from CS to your central location.

Thanks for the quick response. I, too, am very pleased with both the quality of the books as well as the service. I've called at all hours of the day and night, and the people in South Africa, SC, and Costa Rica have always been most responsive. As well, the cost of books I purchase couldn't be fairer...I do give a lot of books away, especially to parents of children and in the schools I visit. If I have to switch to a printer who charges me retail, that definitely will curtail my gifting significantly.

201765 Erica....how much do you have to pay annually on each book for the returnable option? Alternatively, how does that work on Ingram?

Also, it's not clear to me from the above whether you now use IS or have switched to Amazon. Can you clarify? Thanks.

I've had trouble with orders from CS on three occasions over the last two years, all having to do with cover color on proofs. In all cases, when I've called them, they have redone the order at no cost and expedited shipment.
