As I have the attention span of a flee do we also get a copy of the short story anthology? I can do short stories, they're...short. Like me.

I only have a Blogger thing and an Goodreads blog. It boosted views to both of those, that was all I was expecting from it. I'm currently considering coercion to sell books.

Well if misbehaving cats won't persuade you I give up lololol

Just the type of book I'm not at all interested in.

You'd see that kind of thing all the time if you were on FB!

I think there's a truth to that. Although I have read first books by authors who went on to write more. That was back in the day before anyone could self publish. Then again as I always remind myself I have read plenty of rubbish that was somehow traditionally published.

Yes I thought all those things too Alex. So I think we both must be right.

I just don't want to be one of those one title erotica authors that people like me ignore because I wonder if they're any good or if it's just a pretty cover with a naked body on the front...

I will help by crossing everything. Because that's about all I'm good for.

I do ignore most things Word would like to criticise me for in dialogue. I don't know how good word is for flagging grammar. It only complains about the odd piece of dialogue.
I'm relieved that's done. Once I've edited it and rewritten it for four years I can publish it and move on to something else that I've had almost ready for the past 6 years...
I have progressed to the opinion that I will just publish everything I have because no-one is going to read it anyway. Then I can be someone who has several works out with none of them selling. But at least there will be more than one and it won't be lonely. This seems like a solid plan.

I've just knocked out over 100 of them. The rest I have declared necessary. A lot are in dialogue and I refuse to give my characters stilted dialogue for the sake of a word count. All of my other potentially over used words are within normal limits. So I'm very pleased with myself.

Hi Mit, I'm Amy, I write erotica. I've currently published a whole book lol

We've got teenagers. Apart from school they rarely venture out or their lairs, sorry, bedrooms.

It was a good feeling until I did a search and found I'd used the word "that" over 300 times in a 40k book (and 40k-that's only half the length of the first!)

I've never seen anything available to boost on my personal profile, I think the only times I've seen it is on my one of my pages.

Have we had the newsletter yet? (I could have missed it. It's been one of those years so far.)

I just include an excerpt that's a page and a half long."I think adding a first chapter or excerpt of a second book at the end of the first is a recent thing. It's certainly encouraged on Smashwords. It's not something I've found until recent years. Personally I'd like to not bother!

I have finished the first draft of Nate and Day. It ended with a bang; but then, it is erotica.

I did that last time and it didn't work. What made it work this time was having failed to load in Chrome, I then loaded it in Edge and then loaded it in Chrome. Who knows. Works now.
