201765 Brilliant thank you so much, I forgot it was funny! All the commas are in the latest version which came out yesterday. I had a re-edit last week.

ETA I think I have requested an update via the content and devices bit on Amazon. Unless there's another way for me to get the new cover on my phone. The old one annoys me now it's not current.
201765 Ah ok. Say no more! Lol
201765 Did it cost? (Haven't looked at it yet)

201765 Hi Steve, I'm Amy, I write erotic sci fi also with a fair bit of humour. As for marketing, yeah, learning.

201765 Not worth it for one chapter and 1p of savings. A whole penny!

201765 That might annoy me if it happened too often.

201765 I've left a couple of mine. I had three lines on a page and one line on a page. I've left them both. I quite like the one line, it's a mini cliff hanger, over the page. The rest I don't care about. But a blank page-I swear that wasn't there last week when I was editing.

And now for a re-upload of Smashwords and I'm done. I've got to format that first. Could take me all night! I don't know why it has to be more involved.

201765 I know a lot of you have already done this many times, but I have finally pressed the publish button on a paperback version of Modified I've priced it at £6.99 it's about 193 pages of 6x9 after costs it gets me £1.53 or something in royalties, so I'm certainly not selling it for less that that at the moment. All I've got to do is wait for it to appear in the store so I can buy a copy and see what it looks like.

201765 Graphic fixed. Awaiting page by page confirmation by me that I haven't cocked up...It's great this is. Just found a blank page at the end of a chapter. That'll cost me an extra penny!

201765 It doesn't appear to have changed. It was 26 years ago when I tried to get some help out of them. If there have been any changes it's that charities are stepping in and since July 2009 you can't call yourself a psychologist unless you're accredited by the BPS (which means the one I saw might not have been qualified)

201765 A lot of the charity side will apparently do free or a donation of whatever you can afford. No idea if you have a limit of how many sessions. The thing is, someone has to fill in the mental health void. A GP was telling me recently that there's a gaping hole where help should be available.

201765 I've just re-published an updated version of my eBook and found that there is no choice for anyone published on the 70% royalty-you're automatically opted in for lending. So that's OK. I'm also going to do the thing where someone buy's the paperback and can download the eBook for free. I could do 99c, but if I bought a paperback I'd also like the option to get it for free on my phone.

201765 £500 WTF??? That's outrageous. Yes I agree, they won't help if you turn down their initial offer of help. I knew a hypnotherapist round here who charged £95 a session a few years ago. She was trained-I have no idea how in-depth the training was, but I was thinking maybe a psychologist might charge similar. A quick google claims a psychologist charge might be between £10-£60 depending on where you live.

201765 Yet if you were diabetic they wouldn't hesitate in prescribing you medication for the rest of your life. It is a nonsense. 26 years ago an hour of therapy cost me £25. I hate to think how much it costs now. I also couldn't bring myself to do the cheaper option of group therapy that they had on offer. The mere thought makes me shudder.

201765 I could fix it myself, but I'd rather not have to faff in photoshop.

201765 Thanks, except that when I upload it to KDP (thought I'd use that one for the hell of it) it does this:

Image may contain: one or more people and text

I've now got a double ISBN box where the one automatically put in by Amazon (no idea it would do that, never done one before) only partially covers the one the designer put in. I was going to hit publish on that today. :-( Awaiting an updating file. I'm just not sure how many edits I can make for my £25.

What you said applies to me. I'm just full of BS sometimes! lol
