Damn, adding in physical descriptions etc to my second novel. Due to the stresses of the storyline, according to my notes, I appear to have quite a few men going "prematurely grey" lol

I could live without another scam. I signed up for one with my other business in the very early days. Paid £400+VAT and lost the lot. It was supposed to supply me with an advert for my business on a local doctor's surgery appointment cards years ago. I spent the next 16 years of my career warning other people in the business against making the same mistake.

I'm clinging to dystopian as a vague genre. Not everything conforms to dystopia as per online definitions.

My own boxset is a damned good idea. There is scope for a third book in the series. I have a shorter attention span at the moment and seem to want to write novella lengths-although I've just checked google. Wiki says that a novel word length starts at 40k words. I'm over that by a small amount. Ugh one big book or publish the second as is. Nope go for the second. I have other characters to unleash.
I also like the idea of sticking a first book of a series into a box set of um first books in a series. Just need to find a Sci-Fi/dystopian/with sex boxset lol

That was interesting. It's not something I have a burning desire to take part in right now, because the organisation and investigation sounds like it could take more time than I have available at the moment. I'd rather work on getting more books out there first. I've been scammed before for hundreds of pounds with my other business and don't want history to repeat itself. Sounds like something that could work if you have your wits about you. Saying that though, I appear to have created my own damn genre so I'm less likely to find a box set I'd fit in to lol.

Is still looking for a cheap cover for sci-fi/dystopian/erotica and is determined to not have naked people on the front.

Read a beta of Alex R Carver's An Eye for An Eye, crime thriller, go pre-order book-really good.

Sorry to hear that Sam. So sad.

Random paperback sale in the states. Quite willing to believe someone clicked buy now by mistake lol...

Hi everyone I haven't said hi to. Have fun.

Oh I love behind the scenes updates!

I struggle with setting the questions for those interviews. I'm not very good at it. I always think I should be able to come up with something more interesting to ask. I can answer them ok. In my other job I've been accused of talking too much about myself so I don't have a problem with that. My problem is being able to afford to buy visibility.

Get rid of that planet on the left sid..."Thanks for the advice, I'll take that on board for book 2. I'm won't change the first book again, that's it's third cover and one I paid a small amount for. There is no money in the household budget for a paid cover for two books at the moment. So for now I'll focus on trying to get a better cover for the second book.

I've said many times I don't like the bare male torso cover for
erotica books because they all look the same and when I was commuting I wouldn't have got on the train with one to read.
I had a Sci Fi cover, but I'm an unknown so pretty invisible. Then I had one made with bodies on the front, but yep I'm an unknown so pretty invisible. I don't think I have a point here other than I tried. Changing from one cover to the next didn't make a difference. It merely ticked a box that I had done what I was supposed to. Nobody "sees" my book. I have to keep checking Amazon to see if it's even still listed.
I'm about to publish a second book and no doubt I'll tick the box again and get a Sci Fi background with bodies in the foreground. I won't like it. But it's the done thing and I feel I should conform.

My mum hated them too. I found it relaxing in the middle of a normally busy day. But I am weird.

Oh I dunno I had a lovely rest in the MRI machine while they checked if I had a brain. Found it after some investigation.

Been there done that. After mine they announced they were sending me to the geriatric clinic. Cheers. I was about 43 at the time.

Is that what they suspect it was? Poor thing. Hope she recovers quickly.

How is your mum doing? Still stable I hope.
