It is very good. I need to read the first one now.

That's very good of you Alex. It'll need all the help it can get. Although I am quite pleased with it.

Oh good grief are they dumbing down?

Thank you so much. If my hair wasn't currently plum coloured it would be most definitely grey!

They are definitely upsetting the status quo aren't they?

Somebody wave a banner, I've paid for a cover for Nate and Day. Took me ages to choose someone. In the end I went with the first one that caught my eye. Isn't that always the way?

I can absolutely see why it would put people off reviewing books. I had a review of a product denied from Amazon, I was quite put out and that was just slippers!

I have different views on newsletters. I've signed up to a couple, they come in and I don't read them, I just don't have the time. I wonder how many other people are the same. I also don't read blogs. I'm not much use! I don't blog often these days (time) but I do it in the hope that eventually someone might follow me. It's great though, I can say what I want and no-one is reading it.

(Cover graphics grrr just saying. Still can't decide on a designer, but I can only afford Fiverr.com)

Well, as I have sold less than 30 books since I published a year ago I obviously cannot offer anything other than a well done on the 300 and I have no clue about the reviews. I'm just grateful for the ones I've got. To date I have not managed to get one blogger/reviewer on board and the reviews I have are from people here and a colleague. So dunno.

Thanks. Will do. I got there in the end. I don't know what I did. I was very good I hardly swore...

Ah um yeah. Maybe not them then. Plus Nate and Day is a mere 108 pages of action in a 9x6 trim. I think something with fewer numbers after the £ will suffice.

I am so grateful I don't need anything other than text in my books.
However I would just like to pull my hair out over the time I have just spent trying to organise page numbers. Again. It's a simple thing I always manage to get wrong. In the end I restarted with a clean KDP template. When am I going to retain these instructions without having relearn everything? I am so sick of my memory post stroke.
Alex wrote: "Thank you ladies, it really made my day/week/month. The only downside to these designers is the incredibly long lead time for a cover project, if they had less of a lead time I'd recommend them to ..."How long? Is that the 7 month one for hundreds of £?

Alex that's amazing. Well done.

A mini goal-wrote a blurb for Nate and Day with some help. Then thought the usual, "Doesn't matter what I put, no-one's going to read it anyway." So there's that.
Also read through a chapter. It wasn't rubbish.

It was lacking that certain absurdity.
