I purchase ISBNs through Bowker to use with my Createspace POD books. ISBNs help make books easier to search online and for bookstores to find/catalog. It also gives the book a more professional feel. They will sometimes run specials. For example, the last time I bought they were $125 each or on sale $250 for 10. I bought $250 for 10 since I needed 2 of them and that was the same price. When you use a number, log into your Bowker account to register that number with your book.

If any other Children's Picture book authors are interested in a feature spot, please let me know. If you can't do a giveaway, that is ok. I would still be happy to feature you and help out a fellow Indie author!

Great Carole! I would think one of your "If you were me and lived in..." books would be excellent. I would recommend doing the giveaway one of two ways:

1. I can host the giveaway and give you the address of the winner when it is finished.

2. You set up the giveaway on your facebook page and I will provide a link to the post that the participants need to "like" and comment in order to enter. You can then do your own drawing and contact the winner to get their address. This may help draw people to your page.

Either way works for me.

I will also need a short blurb (1-2 paragraphs) about you and your books as well as any links you may have.

I will stagger the giveaways throughout the three days to encourage people to keep checking the event. It is up to you how long you want to keep your giveaway open. I will be keeping some giveaways open through the following week. During that week I will continue to promote any open giveaways including yours if you want.

It's almost here! My fourth book releases on March 23, 2017. I am interested in doing a watered down version of a facebook release party. I want to help my fellow children's picture book indie authors gain visibility with a new audience. Due to my work schedule, I will not be able to be live the whole time of the party, but I am going to schedule 3 days (23-25) to have giveaways and other fun activities.

If you are a children's picture book author, I would love to do a single post feature for you. Give me a description of your book and the links to your facebook, website and amazon pages. You don't have to do a giveaway, but if you want to do one on your facebook page and make the readers click the link for your page and like the post to enter the drawing, it may draw new traffic to you. I would also be happy to share a giveaway link if you are doing one somewhere else at the time.

I will let you know what day and time you will be featured so you can share the information with your readers. You will also be able to comment in the section under your post if you want to interact with the readers.

So I have had some libraries ask me to come and do a book reading/signing. I am not about to turn that down so of course I said yes! But now I need some help. I have never done a book reading before. Any recommendations?

I like the first one. The third one is my second favorite but it is more of your typical romance/erotica cover. The first one is a little more unique so it catches my eye.
