201765 Haha, Alex! The deer story made my morning. :)
201765 When I saw you commented, Ted, I already knew without reading the comments that I didn't want to follow anything you had written. Lol You have such a fascinating life!

Your daughter just made my day! :D Thanks for sharing!

201765 We have struck a chord here, lol! "Parvillion" instead of "pavilion" and "wreaf" instead of "wreath."

"Puppy's Bubble" is a Talking Tales title, written by a speech pathologist to help parent encourage early speech development in their children. Emphasizing the sounds of words including "p", "b", "m", "n", "d", and "h", "Puppy's Bubble" guides the attention of young readers through simple shaded colored pencil drawings and spare prose. Children are encouraged to make the sounds in the story, surprised by a "Boo!" or a bubble-fest. "Puppy's Bubble" has tips for encouraging speech development as well as an appealing, illustrated story that children will love reading and interacting with. "Talking Tales: Puppy's Bubble" is an excellent tool for parents to help promote their children's speech development and sense of play.

201765 I understand how you feel. I just recently started writing again. I took a break. I still did some low cost marketing, mainly because I love getting to meet new people and am very social. I haven't told anyone this before, but I haven't written since February. Minimal to no sales ruined my motivation. I think it is very common. Once a hobby begins to become a "job" it suddenly looses its excitement, especially when you struggle to see outcomes. It becomes a necessity instead of a release.

In college, I started off as a music performance major. The more it became a job, the more I hated it. I finally decided I needed to move on. I changed majors and it took me a while to begin to enjoy playing again.

I guess what I am trying to say is, I get it, and sometimes yes, a break is the best thing you can do for yourself. Just don't give up completely. You start writing because you enjoy it and eventually, that joy will come back. It may just mean a break from the business side.

I continue to hope that your luck changes, but more than anything, I hope you continue to do what you love. Even if it is purely for your own enjoyment.

201765 Welcome, Kat! The beauty of being an indie author is the freedom to explore multiple genres. :)

201765 Aislinn, congrats on your new book! I agree with Carole and Alex. I have a job (part time right now because of my kids), am a youth leader, take care of my two toddlers, and write. Writing is my escape. If you enjoy writing, don't give it up completely. It may be one of the best ways for you to get a break from real life, especially if you have a crappy office job. Wishing you the best and hope things get better soon!

201765 Haha! I guess that one may not be misstated, depending on the context.
