What great heroes we'd make... We push on, one way or another, we keep going towards that goal. Nothing will stop us. We get stuck in mud, we climb out; we get kicked down, we stand up and brush ourselves down and move forward; we are ignored, we shout and we gather a group of friends around to shout too; we feel we can't go on even another day, but when tomorrow comes we press on and on. Gutsy lot, aren't we?

Yes, Elina, that's encouraging - it will go down but it will also go up, and up!

Being grumpy is so nice sometimes. It allows me to have a currant bun and a cup of tea.

So sorry to hear this. Nearly every successful writer has been rejected umpteen times so don't get discouraged. Smile - it's good for you, apparently!!!!

I've had patches where I've not been able to take part in discussions on N.I. but it's good to look in and see what everyone else is doing, so don't feel you can't flit in and out - some of us get like that only because we need to.

Hi Sam. I'm much worse than you, I still haven't joined FB and Twit. It's in my diary to catch up with Medium but I'm finding it a struggle to keep up with everything. If I wasn't so busy in real life....

I'm taking an axe to a number of time consuming things and by Christmas, I'll have chopped off two big consumers of my time. Much as I love them... sigh.

Not my darling family, of course!!!! No need to call out the police.
