201765 What do you think of this Carrie? Just some minor changes

In her thirteenth life, Aven Dovenelle is happy. She's settled into the now witchcraft-friendly Salem where she has opened her own shop and made great friends--there's even a possibility of love.

Despite her contentment, the truth of Aven's existence haunts her. She is cursed to live life after life, with all the memories of her horrific past. Hope may come as a mysterious white raven, who has shadowed Aven through each of her lives.

But a malevolent force from Aven's past isn't finished with her. Driven by vengeance and hate, his attack will bring Aven to her knees.

The cost of her happiness and freedom could prove too high as Aven uncovers the truth about her curse and that dark magick lingers.

Hope it helps!!
201765 A lower price likely means smaller distribution though...
201765 When I did Bargain Booksy I didn't discount the price from normal :)
201765 Awesome rant Groovy!!!

201765 I've never had any problems with Createspace's quality and their customer service really is top notch!! I shudder to think what will happen when Amazon shuts them down in favour of KDP paperback :(

Awesome Carole :D

One for your list, Amy?"

Bargain Booksy had tremendous results for me Anna :) Well worth the investment! I ran mine at $1.99

Totally agree C.L. :) Goodreads giveaways are really only good for increasing to-read shelf numbers.

I have heard this argument for series before but I just can't subscribe to it for the following reasons:

1. If you get a book for free you have little incentive to read it since it cost you nothing. It will always come second to bought books on your shelf and may never be read at all.

2. Most readers likely realize that if they wait long enough they can get those other books in the series for free as well. It is the number one tip amazon gives us.

3. The vast majority of readers don't leave reviews so giving away in hopes of reviews is a losing game.

I've said it elsewhere and I'll say it here. If we want to compete with trad publishers we have to start valuing our hard work. We have to stop acting like we belong at the kids table and realize that our work can be just as good as any trad published book.

It's time to #endoffree

Hear hear Anna!! Welcome to the end of free! Like Ted says...if we don't value our work who will?
201765 Congratulations Ted!!

And thanks for sharing your blog on this; very helpful. FYI, like you I'm strongly against the free book market. Some say there's value in giving your work away but I can't find it. #endoffree

201765 Hi all! So I've recently started a website here www.eldonfarrellauthor.com

It's a wordpress site and I would appreciate any help I can get with the following problem. As you can see when you visit I'm stuck with a generic text sidebar widget. No matter what I try I can't edit or delete the thing. Wordpress help was no help and I'm reaching the end of my rope.

Anyone know how to edit or just plain delete the thing?
Thank you! (106 new)
