Thanks, Eldon.
A friend just wrote to me and said he had voted for Alyssa Devine (my pen name). I wrote an e-mail back us..."That's hilarious :D

You got my vote and you're in the lead by a wide margin :)
Catherine wrote: "Hi Eldon, congratulations on your new book and thanks for your question. I am booking 3 weeks out currently."Hi Catherine,
Thanks for the quick response :) I will PM you shortly.
Catherine wrote: "Hello,
I am a published author and an editor with over 10 years experience across industries and genres. I am able to provide resume and client references. I favor fantasy, don't do horror or erot..."Hi Catherine,
Good to meet you! I will be in the market for an editor sometime next year. How far in advance are you currently booking?

Great information Jessica :)
Thanks for sharing the links too!!

I wouldn't worry too much about it Erin. Most people will be able to tell from the blurb that the new book has nothing to do with the old book aside from being part of a thematic collection. I'm sure your readers will be okay with it :)
And hey if there's a market for more Marlee and Marc...that's not a bad thing right?
Erin wrote: "This weekend's indie author Q&A will be all about book covers with our special guest host Jes Richardson, cover designer extraordinaire and owner of Cover Bistro graphic designs. So keep an eye out..."Awesome!!
Amy wrote: "Get in! I've just read something I found via a google search where best selling authors are often over the 40% sticky sentence level PWA recommends. Sometimes they're even as high as 48%. I come in..."You have to treat PWA as a tool to help guide you more than a definitive answer. When it comes to grammar and diction it's bang on but with things like glue % and other subjective areas it can't know everything; that's why we still need editors.
If you use it solely as a tool, as something to show your work in a different light, it can be quite effective :)

I don't see how this will effect most of us...unless you're close to the top 20.
And as for driving indies away, why would they do that? Who else can they convince to stock their shelves with free books? #endoffree

I purchased the full version of ProWriting Aid a few months ago now maybe, and I love it. There is no question that it doesn't catch everything and some of what it does catch leaves you scratching your head but...it's worth the investment.
Without a doubt it has improved my writing :)
Amy wrote: "I was also taught 2 at school but only use 1."Rebel :D
Erin wrote: "I use one. Two spaces makes me hold my own breath for some reason. Me no likey."Well I know when I'm beat....one space it is :)

But I guess the question then becomes...does it matter either way?
Alexis wrote: "Just one. Some people use two? :O"I thought everybody used two??
Seems I'm alone on that lol

Here's a fun little debate I stumbled across. How many spaces do you use after a period? Is one or two proper? Careful how you answer as you might date yourself.
For me, I guess I'm old because I use two :)

Hi Nicole! My personal experience with AMS has been nothing but positive.
My question for you is this...I noticed the higher I ranked the more impressions my ad received from Amazon; can you confirm this is how the system works?
Thanks!

Seriously?? Ev..."100k is actually high. Depending on genre most publishers won't look at anything past 80-90k
Nat wrote: "I moved a few years back and got rid of about 6 boxes of books. I don't have room anymore. And I keep an excel file of all the ebooks I have on my kindle and what genre the book is in and how long ..."That.....is a great idea Nat :D
I gotta get me one of those spreadsheets!!
Amy wrote: "What's the exchange rate? I know people here trying to support a family of 4 on £25k a year that's in full time employment not trying to make it as a writer. Something online has just told me that ..."35k just isn't what it used to be in Canada when housing/rent can easily run you 20k+ a year and utilities average another 3-4k per year.
Doesn't leave much to live on. Of course if writing isn't the main gig 35k would be awesome :)
