Goals this week:Get back into the swing of things!
I've been having a terrible time getting into my regular writing schedule, so I'm hoping to just DO IT and do my morning edit and work on my project in the evenings too.
Wish me luck!

Marie Silk wrote: "Yeah I'm not crazy about a book ending at 50% or 70% with lots of filler in the back. I just include an excerpt that's a page and a half long."Agree with this. It shouldn't take over the book you're currently reading.

I've never included an excerpt in my blurb. Maybe a tag line from the books? I know people who add excerpts/first chapters to the next book in a series.
So hard!Reggie wanted to save people, until he met Kyle, and knew he had to save him.
or
A world that hates his kind, Reggie's a savior in the shadows.
(Neither really works!)
We need a class.
My quick little check in. Shared on my G+ account too... I'm trying to spread out the sharing on different platforms. Some of my sharing is on other accounts, not under this pen name, so hopefully hitting more people that way!
Dennis wrote: "SIA is also running a book event from March 31 - April 2. Does not explain or excuse, we should be supporting each other not competing."I'm in both events and supporting both... I didn't know there was a competition! Man, I left my mean hat at home. ;)
1. Fantasy
2. Childrens fiction and non fiction
3. Contemporary Romance"
I'm surprised about Children's fiction, honestly! And I thought romance would be #1.
So, I'm not getting many retweets or traffic on my FB, but hopefully it helps someone follow the link. You, who have tons of retweets, I am jealous of your active followers!I have had a good amount of downloads on my free book and a few sales on my .99, so that's delightful.
Here's to day 2!
I plan on doing a boost to my posts/shares tonight. Passed the link onto some friends, so hope they share as well. Don't want to boggle the works. Great job everyone! I've already seen some action on my kdp. Here's to finding new fans!
Alex wrote: "Might it be an idea for us to come up with some tweets for people to use to promote the event? I'm cogitating on a few."
Thumbs up on this. I suck at making fancy tweets. :(
Alexis wrote: "Nat wrote: "That is awesome. Thank you Carole! The 27 is closer than you think. Soon, you might get a rest. You guys deserve lots of caramel cake. Lots of it."
Thanks Nat. We will be sending a DM..."
That will be good! I've got it on my calendar, but reminders always sparkle.
That is awesome. Thank you Carole! The 27 is closer than you think. Soon, you might get a rest. You guys deserve lots of caramel cake. Lots of it.
Wow, those are some awesome banners! Great job, Alexis. You deserve several gold stars. And great job to everyone else doing the artsy hard work!
Thumbs up to everyone with their awesome news and going forward on these great promotional events! Cheers!
I might be visiting The Netherlands this year. Maybe!Alex, wow, sucks about the cover thing. I actually am in slightly the same boat... My cover artists that did my first three covers doubled in price and now are booked out till October. I wanted to see about getting a cover for a free short story in the series and now that's not going to happen. Still, if I want more covers for that series, I feel like I need to order now, before their prices triple and they are a year out!
Looking for new artists for my other two series I have planned. Not written, just planned. Crazy.
I'm involved in a big giveaway... if folks wanted to share/tweet etc. that would be awesome! It's 10 fantasy and romance books in a giveaway bundle. Ends in a few days. Thanks!

My weekly goals:Rip apart the Wielder World Short Story
Write more in my epic fantasy story.
Find a cover artist I like.
Good luck to everyone!
I am always late to the ballgame. And I've no spring stories (I do have a gay paranormal romance winter theme story laying around.) I have a short story that goes with my Wielder World that has no spring theme at all! It's about catching a killer. If you need it, let me know. I'm currently running it through the ringer thought.
