No. It can just be books priced at regular prices as well. We can give the books that are free or on sale a banner at the top that says free.
I did it here just now: LINK REMOVED

That is so kind of you, Carole!
We can set up a rafflecopter and people can enter to win by tweeting about the event, posting about it on facebook etc
https://www.rafflecopter.com

We can get a free wordpress blog and do this.
I would love it if somebody else (or two somebodies) would volunteer to come up with text that can be used on the website. Like for example, to describe what the event is about, taglines for the different genres etc.

Thanks Carole. Yes, a new thread seems like a good idea. Will you make one?

We would have one homepage.
And each genre would have a little thumbnail (different image, not greyscale, I just used what I had) like the YOUNG ADULT one that page.
When you click there, you will see ALL THE young adult books.
When you click on each book, you'll see the blurb, the price AND a handy GO TO AMAZON purchase button.
Go check it out
Link is gone.>

So, I think what you are saying is dividing them into genre- I love that- what else would you need- a cover, the ..."
I, personally, think twice a year. I think if you do it too much it becomes too common. But that's just me.
But take for example that link that Alex posted.
Ooh, I'm excited.
Wait right here.

I like the name of your second book, too, even though I won't be reading past the title. WE'RE STILL FRIENDS TH..."
LOL. Thanks Groovy. Yes, definitely. You're virtually stuck with me now.

I volunteer banner making services. One thing I always wished other promotions would do is split the books into different genres. I don't really like browsing through countless of books, all different, until I reach a romance. I think the front page should list all genres and then each genre should have its own subpage.

I've got my review blog post done, I'm on track to get my current round of editing done, and I'll be starting my history of crime post this ev..."

I'll help you with the Freebie and pre-orders! Let me go get my croissants and my hot choco and I will drop your cover in some Facebook groups.

I'll check it out Kay! thank you"
Here's the link everyone

(It's racy-ish.)
Thank you Justin!!!

Time for a check in everyone.
My goal for the whole week was to reach 90 likes om Facebook and 25 followers on Twitter. I've done better than that with 98 likes on FB and 30 followers on Twitter and I still have a couple of days left.
So, I'm kicking it up a notch!

Yes. Yes. I made a poster. I'm not playing around anymore. :p
Shooting for 100 likes on Facebook and 35 followers on Twitter now.

Submissions Policy
Anyone can submit original work to Kindle Singles. We've showcased writing from both new and established voices--from bestselling novelists to previously unpublished writers.
We're looking for compelling ideas expressed at their natural length--writing that doesn't easily fall into the conventional space limitations of magazines or print books. Kindle Singles are typically between 5,000 and 30,000 words.
A Kindle Single can be on any topic. So far we've posted fiction, essays, memoirs, reporting, personal narratives, and profiles, and we're expanding our selection every week. We're looking for high-quality writing, fresh and original ideas, and well-executed stories in all genres and subjects.
How to submit
We will consider ebooks recently published via Kindle Direct Publishing, manuscript submissions, or pitches.
• To nominate your self-published book, simply email us at kindle-singles@amazon.com and include the title, ASIN, and a brief summary.
• If the work is not yet published, you can submit a manuscript or a detailed pitch for your Kindle Single. Send as much material as you have available to kindle-singles@amazon.com and include your name and a writing sample.
• All manuscripts submitted as attachments must be accompanied by a cover letter with a detailed summary of the submission.
• Writers or publishers wishing to propose an idea for a Kindle Single can write to our editors at kindle-singles@amazon.com.
Selection process
Each submission is carefully reviewed by our editors. Once your submission is received, we will read and respond within six weeks. If we are interested in your submission or pitch, we will provide you with further instructions on how to submit your title via Kindle Direct Publishing and any additional next steps.
Rights and Royalties
Accepted Kindle Singles are published using the Kindle Direct Publishing platform, which means that the author earns royalties on each sale. Kindle Singles must have list prices between $0.99 and $4.99, and authors can choose the 70% royalty option for their accepted titles, even when the list price is below $2.99. All other Terms and Conditions of Kindle Direct Publishing will also apply to content sold as a Kindle Single.
Writers retain all rights to their work when accepted and published in Kindle Singles. We will consider Kindle Singles from authors, publishers, and agents, and you will need to confirm that you have the rights to publish the work you upload. If accepted, your Kindle Single must be made available in all territories where you have rights, so Kindle customers around the world have the option to purchase your title.
Like all Kindle books, Kindle Singles are buyable and readable across the entire Kindle family of devices, as well as on our Free Kindle Reading Apps (Kindle for iPad, iPod touch, iPhone, Mac, PC, BlackBerry, Android, etc.).
Kindle Singles Criteria
• Length: 5,000 to 30,000 words
• List price: $0.99 to $4.99
• Original work, not previously published in other formats or publications
• Self-contained work, not chapters excerpted from a longer work
• Not published on any public website in its entirety
• We are currently not accepting how-to manuals, public domain works, reference books, travel guides, or children's books. • No story collections.

I feel like I'm missing something else but ..."
Is it mine!? Warning everyone: this one is slightly rated R. I blame Justin's question and the wine I was drinking while answering. ^_^

I think you should add the disclaimer. It doesn't spoil anything and I'm sure your readers will appreciate the heads-up!

So my brilliant idea is an old idea to you? :p Just kidding.
I think they should start following your advice. Collaborative Book Marketing will be the new it-thing of 2017.

I visited Bookworks for the first time ever and guess what's the first thing that catched my eye:
An article about Collaborative Book Marketing. Lol!
"While not a necessarily new, this is one of the book marketing trends I think you’re going to start seeing a lot more of this in 2017. In the past, we’ve seen authors do combo book bundles—books bundled together from a variety of authors. In addition to that, I think we will see more collaborative marketing efforts such as bundled freebies, samplers, and joint ads. There is power in numbers and this year, more than ever, we’re going to start seeing that this type of networking is no longer an option, but a necessity."

Thanks Carole!
Ohh, that'd be great too. What are their prices like now?
