201765 I wouldn't worry about it. They are re doing the site and system revamp so it's probably just an error.

201765 7/28/17:
This evening we had the pleasure of interviewing author Anita Dickason! We learned about her amazing background in law enforcement and how she used her skills of detective work, to help shape the characters and world in her series "Sentinels of the Night". Check her out at www.anitadickason.com.

We also shouted out several authors and their books in this episode:
Alex R Carver: An Eye for An Eye
Denise Baer: Net Switch
Clint Forgy: Myrth Defects
Dennis Meredith: The Happy Chip
Amy J Hamilton: Modified
Vincent Lowry: Surfing the Seconds

Please take a look and give them a try. The link for the show will be posted when available!

201765 Ur welcome. I'm currently setting up an automated system to tweet and post consistently without me having to do much. They used to be free a few years ago so have to find a new freebie.

201765 Hi Erica, one way to gain views to your tweets is by looking at what hashtags are trending and see if the most popular ones have any relevance to your post, or if you can create a post based on it. For example for me if I see #mancrushmonday I would tweet my book with that as one of the hashtags and typically a lot of those people Wil see your tweet and if interested RT or follow you. Also writer hashtags like #amreading #amwriting etc are popular ones in use for authors always. That will add your tweet to the handle and a reader looking for authors with the #amwriting hashtag may see your tweet, click your profile and learn more about you. Make sure to always have your book buy link pinned to the top of your post so that anyone interested in your book doesn't have to dig for a link. People's attention spans are super short and if it's not right in their faces, they may click away and search for another author. Just a few tips I use when I have time to tweet.

201765 Eldon I used a TON I'll send an email, but honestly if I didn't fill out 40 or more forms I didn't do one. It's tedious but worth it
Jul 11, 2017 10:23AM

201765 Yeah my promo just ended in July 6th and it was for 6 days. Got 51 sales and tons of page reads. All for free and didn't spend a dime.
Jul 11, 2017 10:18AM

201765 Hell yeah lol. That's how I promote most of the time. I don't have the budget to pay for promo all the time. Google "free .9 cent book promo" and go through the websites and lists. It'll take a day of work but it's worth it
Jul 11, 2017 10:07AM

201765 At the end of the day Eldon some promotion is still better than letting it collect dust and getting no exposure at all. They made me use all my countdown days as well and I wish it were different. The only other thing I see is that I can have a whole different set of promo days in the U.K. Market which I may try later this month.
If all your days are gone, you can always just change the price to .99 cents and fill out tons of those free .99 book promos and manually set it back when you're ready. It's hard work either way you slice it but if you want it bad enough you have to try everyday to work the system in your favor.

201765 I try to do things in a cycle Eldon. Every month I try a mix of free and paid and since everything has a 90 day cycle, I repeat as needed. So in essence I don't think you should stop ever promoting unless your Stephen King, just try different avenues and keep a detailed list.

201765 Thinking of making "The Grrr" a Monthly column in the magazine. A place where any author can write an article and basically let it all out in regards to their frustrations with all aspects of writing, reviews, publishers, etc. It would be completely anonymous and would state that along with "views expressed aren't necessarily those of I.A.M". If interested you can submit those to articles@indieauthorsmonthly.com

Just be sure not to use any profane language, and you can pretty much have at it.

201765 Congrats Alex! Kicking ass and taking names!
