194734 Started watching Static Shock last night. It's a cartoon from when I was younger and I'm sure I watched it at some point, but I don't remember it very well.

Good show with good art quality and a nice story. Superhero cartoons are finally starting to come back (Guardians of the Galaxy, Ultimate Spider-Man, Avengers Assemble), so I'm watching a few classics like Static Shock, Spectacular Spider-Man, X-Men.
Might re-watch Teen Titans at some point but can't decide...

Sure, the more the merrier :) Inviting is encouraged.

194734 'Aesthetics' are most definitely not my thing, okay? I don't devote time to making things pretty.
But...
There definitely is a metal aesthetic. It's different than punk or grunge, which are pretty cool themselves, but do you wanna know why I love the metal fashion/aesthetic (besides the fact it's part of the music scene I love)?
It's easy.
-grow your hair long and keep it long,
-paint your fingernails black (and not even all the time).
-have at least one piercing (I have two).
-wear band shirts.
-wear jeans.
-wear sneakers (I've only owned real Converse twice. The rip-offs will do just fine).
It's literally that easy, folks.

194734 Next up on my TBR: (I want to have read seventeen books by the end of summer, same number as last year. I'm up to fourteen and finishing The Demon's Lexicon will make fifteen)

Hammered, Kevin Hearne.
Powers vol. 1: Who Killed Retro Girl?, Brian Michael Bendis.

194734 My crusade this whole year so far has been to change myself.
So far I've
-Gotten a new piercing (cartilage of left ear).
-Started dressing more like I want to.
-Made efforts to talk to people and not just speak sarcasm and movie quotes.
-Gotten used to the idea of having a career one day, in either music (*snort*) or social work. I've started studying social work and might be a camp counselor next summer.
