Looks like we have fallen behind Gryffindor now.

I have some more to add, but think I might finish another book today so will wait to update my post. We’ve also nearly run out of new children’s books to read with my little one so that’s slowing down. Maybe we will take a trip to the library this week and get a bunch of new books.

I finished this book the other day and thoroughly enjoyed it. I hadn’t seen the television show but the movie became one of my favorites years ago. I didn’t realize this was part of a whole series, but I’m looking forward to reading the rest.

I’m reading this one! I’m about halfway through, but before I started I wasn’t sure what to expect. Loved the movie and have been meaning to read this for some time. Looking forward to hearing everyone’s thoughts once I’ve finished.

Woo hoo! Way to go everyone! Sorry my reading has slowed down again. I am preparing to go out on maternity leave and unfortunately have a lot of work to transition and catch up on. Am hoping to make significant progress over Thanksgiving!

Updated my reserved post for the final October count. Apologies, was hoping to get in a few more books with my daughter but missed story time the last two nights due to work.

Updated my reserved post. 2 more books for me and 8 more books for me and Virginia. 10 new books in total.

Probably won't finish any more of my own books before the month's end, but have started a handful of new books that I anticipate to finish in November.

Will likely have a few more children's books to add over the next few nights' reading.

Also - Celeste, thanks for all your doing to keep track of all of this! It is so appreciated!

I updated my reserved post with the additional books I've read with my daughter.

For the record, I don't really care if the books I read with my daughter are counted. I only have added them to help our overall numbers as a group because we're reading them anyway.

But please feel free to not include them in the totals for prizes or quidditch positions or whatever else. I am never going to be able to keep up with some of the numbers I see others doing for full length novels, etc.

However, I am reading more than I have the rest of the year and have expanded the kinds of books I'm reading. 4 a month is almost like a 400% increase for me - I thought I'd only get to 4 total in the challenge.

Since I already have my post split into "my" books vs. "kids" books - please just count "my" books for any prizes or quidditch positions. I don't want to cause any trouble.

It looks like you guys have a lot of the same books we have, although - haven't read many of these yet for the challenge. How old is your little one? :)

Updated my reserved post! 5 new children's books with the little one and 1 new book for me. My little one is loving being part of this challenge and it encourages us to keep reading new books every night rather than sticking with the same books.

I'm making good progress on my remaining "adult" books (haha) and am hoping to finish at least one more before the end of October.
