Makes sense. I honestly don't really pay attention to the edition... that's probably my bad. I definitely just found a copy of "The Raven" online for free and read it.
On another note, there's a bookclub dedicated to feedback for Goodreads - I think I've seen threads about partially completed books before...

189072 you can mark just the one work as read if you search for "the raven" or follow the link above.

189072 From Sarah: "I think down the line setting a limit like that would make sense.
Right now though, the group bookshelf isn't all that big since this group hasn't been around for all that long. It would limit options significantly right now. "

189072 Hi all - polling the group here given the discussion currently going on in the Dec '17 BOTM Catch-Up suggestion discussion. Thanks Allegra, lethe, Leesa, and Cheryl for bringing it up.

For the new monthly catch-up category, considering a few things...
going forward, should there be a restriction on which books can be "re-read" as a group? We're thinking that books read within the last 12 months (whether for this category or the two main monthly categories) should be excluded from nomination. That way, we're not reading a book more than once in a given 12-month period.

Thoughts? concerns? Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Hi Leesa - the plan is to move the old threads back into the "currently reading" folder if/when books are voted as official bookshelf re-reads for the group - I agree with you, better to discuss with all and be able to see old comments rather than start completely anew.

Totally get that. The plan I have in mind is that we can only re-read a book once every 12 months, aka if it wins this category it cannot be re-read by the group again for 12 months. May make sense to broaden that to ALL books read within the past 12 months.
Might leave it alone for now and see how it works for a few months, then institute this rule if it makes sense?
