Thank you for the recommendations! This was great help!

Awesome, thank you! Yeah, I’m pretty much open to any genre including children’s like middle school age. So these are great suggestions. My favorite genre is fantasy so if you’re aware of any fantasy graphic novels worth reading, I definitely want to know about those.

I’ve never read a graphic novel, but I think I would enjoy them a lot. So I’m looking for recommendations on where to start. My main criteria is I don’t want to read a graphic novel that was first a traditional novel or movie. I’m looking for ones that were written with the original intention to be a graphic novel.

This was confusing, weird and intriguing. Overall I was pleased with it.
What genre would this fall into? Mysticism? I agree it’s not really fantasy.

I had the same reaction when he said he was standing there while she sat in front of her easel.
It’s crazy how seamlessly it fit together all because he decided to stay with his wife and not reveal that he knew about the affair. A very unusual and unexpected move, but critical for the timelines to appear synchronous.

I agree, this book is really confusing in the beginning. Part 1 is an information overload with no context. Part 2 is also really slow. The point of the story is really obscure. I finally started to enjoy reading this book in Part 3. (Still haven’t finished though)

I second The Wind in the Willows

Just finished this today. Such a thrilling read! Loved the pacing of this novel!!! The short length of the chapters was like it was teasing me, just read a little bit more. And of course I end up reading a lot more. I loved the psychology in this! Also I love books that have letters or diary entries like this. It’s so difficult to find a unique and truly surprising thriller, but this made the cut.

I second Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children

Excited about this one!
There are so many great movies I’ve seen in my lifetime that I find out later were based on books (and of course the books are typically better, more in depth, and can differ quite a bit).
So I’m on a mission to read the books that inspired great movies in order to experience the original work of art and fully appreciate the authors who created these stories.
