Approaching the house even though he/she's already inside, tying up their family? What hit them over the head and made them black out?
Also, if they're the one writing this, wouldn't it be more of a confession or an explanation? If I was The Ravager and I was writing one last letter before I was hanged, I'd want to either: brag, explain myself, or beg forgiveness. I'm not sure I'd go into The Ravager's backstory and explain how the town bounced back after they were put away in an asylum.
I think if you focus this more and make The Ravager's state of mind more clear, this will be really good.

Nice to meet you :) What genre are your stories, or what genre do you prefer?

Apparently it's an epidemic. We can solve it, though, I'm sure! :)

Haha, it's looking that way. But it's making me wonder if I have too many plots and such going on, which is never good. I don't want to be the next Becca Fitzpatrick.

It might turn into that. When I plan I..."
I'm having a similar problem with Piper's Folly. I'm using the 3 act method to structure the main events, but Act I is only supposed to be 25% of the whole story. It's going to be hard to get my characters to reach the first major plot point at the 25% mark.
I'll take a look at what you have and hopefully I can help. :) Maybe helping you work it out will also help me. Haha.

Synopsis:
Piper Ried has had enough.
She escapes an insane vampire's dungeon only to nearly die of exposure in a back alley. She's saved by a gray-eyed man who calls himself Nebraska and makes more demands of her. Thankfully, he seems to want exactly what she wants: to kill her former captor.
Piper struggles to balance her thirst for revenge with her distrust for Nebraska. It will be a long, dangerous road, but she's willing to do anything and become anyone to bring down the vampire that ruined her life.
This is a mature book.

I don't have a band of my own, but I write for myself until I can work those lyrics on my keyboard.
Yes, I'm working on my original stories."
I probably should have guessed, based on your picture and your name. :)

Or, on the other side, did you just figure out how to do something yourself and want to share it with others? Do you have tips on how to switch between narrators seamlessly, or the perfect way to structure a fight scene?
Create your own topic in this folder--you don't have to reply to this one with your advice. :) Let me know if you have any questions!

Nice to meet you Shine. What do you write fan fiction about? I've tried to do that but it's hard!
Do you write songs for local bands or anything, or do you sing them yourself?
Are you working on any stories now?
Glad to have you in the group. :)

I seem to already be derailing haha. My strategy is just to get it all out and then refocus it through proofreading and rewriting.
The characters...they've been alive for like 8 pages (sh..."
Is it going to be a full-length novel? I'm curious about how others plan or strategize before they start writing, or if they plan as they go.

If that's not at all the type of thing you're going for, ignore me. Haha. Sounds good either way!
If you need to bounce ideas off of people, or if you're like me and need to ask a string of questions just to work out issues, you can do that here. :)

My name is Alex. I made this account way back in 2009 and, if you dare read my writing from back then, you'll see it was appropriate for those teens you speak of :)

Nice to meet you Alex. What's Two Glasses of Wine about? Have you been working on it long?
I don't even want to think about the kinds of things I was writing in 2009. Haha.
Glad to have you in the group, hope to read your writing soon. :)

I'd love to hear about your process. Writing a book jointly must bring on a whole new set of obstacles.

Ash Rising
Synopsis:
A Vanishing Assassin of shadow and wrath will either bring the world to its knees or save it from itself. The fate of the gods rests in her deadly hands.
Aurea Thornbrow is death incarnate, the Long Shadow of Nighall, feared in all corners of the realm. The keepers of her contract are the rulers in the north, the Gentry, powerful and ambitious beings who wield fearsome magic.
Under their direction, Aurea and her companions make their way into the heart of the rebel city—to murder the king and end the war before it can begin.
But the rebel lands are not what Aurea expected, and friendships she’d never thought possible threaten to cloud her vision. With her masters nipping at her heels and her assigned Guardian Erilsi breathing down her neck, Aurea Thornbrow must realize the truth of her past and decide the future of herself—and her world.

A: Your first post should be in the Introductions thread. Once you've done that, you'll get a message within 1-2 days with a link to your very own folder. You can post elsewhere in the meantime, of course.
Q: What do I do if I don't have a folder yet?
A: Don't fret! You can still talk to people in the Introductions thread, go into a chat room in someone else's folder, read the work of other members, or post in the Writers Without Folders section.
Q: I had a folder, but now I can't see it. Where did it go?
A: Folders become hidden after 3 months of inactivity. You can still find it here, but it won't be seen on the main page until you update a thread or start a new topic.

You can post more than once if you have several pieces you'd like read, but don't create several new topics just for one story/book/etc.

I made this group because I saw a need for it. I was joining groups to get feedback and realized that my work wasn't appropriate for the other members, because they were usually in their teens.
