She didn’t mean to implicate Pete, who she was in love with. Marcel secretly is a white nationalist who was trying to get Rose’s money from Chet. She was unaware that he was sending her lots of money following Harmony’s disappearance. Marcel was using it to give the GSN money to kill Rose so he could take the pub.
