I can think of a few others, but some are YA, so lest steam. And others I’d just think of urban fantasy, with a strong romance(s) running thru.

Probably not, but The Archangel Project eventually ends up with sentient alien ships that start helping humans/others with a war against ‘the dark’. A sentient infection that hiveminds victims. The ship shows up in book 5. Darkness rising.
