Pretty sure in the last month there’s been a thread looking for a ‘life switch’ book. I think I posted on it, asking if ‘these’ details sounded right… but now I can’t find the thread, and I did find the book I was thinking of.

There’s one called something like ‘sacrificed to the dragon’. My search function isn’t working.

Not Aliens but shifters who came out to humans in the 1980’s. Struck a bargain with gov for breeding rights with humans in exchange for access to their healing blood. Still have to deal with hunters.

MMC DOESN’T want the option, but leader forces him to participate. Women are tested and if approved can be sent to a dragon reservation where they will be ‘given’ to a dragon for a year to see if they can become pregnant. They can leave or stay once the babies are born, but the babies stay.

There’s one where the MMC leaves the MFC in their teens because he’s shown a video of her sleeping with her BFF’s brother.

The MFC is pregnant, but doesn’t fight it because the BFF showed up with a bruise and told her the MMC had been cheating with her, and beat her when he found out she was pregnant.

Years later, he comes back to town, finds out he has a kid and has to work to untangle everything that happens. Neither of them cheated.

If it sounds right, I’ll hunt.

I read one ages ago. If it sou da like the right one, I’ll have a hunt for it.

The MFC woke up in a broken marriage caused by the old-her-badwife being a general bitch and cheating on her good guy husband-MMC. Takes a while for him to see and believe the change and they fall in love and carry on.

Then the epilogue/blurb told us about the next book, where the old-her-badwife woke up in another woman who was pregnant I think and possibly in a bad relationship too. Anyway, it was her new life and HEA. but they’d done such a good job of making her bad that I didn’t want to read her with a hea 🙄.

I think the badwife had been having an affair and finally saw that she really did have a good man and tried to break it off, only for the badguyaffair to be a psycho stalker who wouldn’t let her go.

Pretty sure I remember solving a few 2-5 year ones. Never seen them before, and know the book at first sight. Must have just missed all the bumps for years! Occasionally, I’ll go into solve an old one I’ve just seen… and someone else has JUST solved it minutes before. Guess there’s some we all miss.

Think the oldest one I’ve solved was around 6years old?

You can try Tangle of Need. It’s book 9 in a really good series.

It’s probably not the set up that you were thinking of, but it is about the H/h with the difficulties that come from the H’s fated mate.

Moon gardening is about what stage the moons is in, in relation to what you should be doing in the garden. (My general, and hopefully basically correct understanding of it below).

Waxing moon, pulling at the tide, so you focus on above ground fruit & veg. Tomatoes, strawberries, pumpkins.

Waning moon, releasing the tide, so you focus on below ground crops. Potatoes, carrots, beets etc.

But in between all of that, there are days when something is doing something, that makes it a very bad day to do anything in the garden. Or days that it’s good to harvest or transplant, but a bad idea to sow new seeds.

I’ve seen experiments on it. Side by side beds, one moon garden and one not, and the difference is phenomenal. The moon gardens are strong, healthy and all but exploding with life, while the other beds are plodding along or even struggling.
