PTSD kids (38 new)

185 Oops, response is 3 years late, but Wind Chime Cafe actually has little girl who carries around a broom, because she had to hide in a broom cupboard while a school shooting was happening.

But yeah, I just reread the blurb. It does talk about the H with PTSD, but honestly, I don’t remember that. It’s the kid that sticks out for me. (And the idiocy of a mother who moved her PTSD kid to a island known for it’s hunting...)

185 Wrong time from, but the Ancient Future trilogy has some of it.

It’s a long shot but some of it matches. She doesn’t get pregnant. He starts a public campaign to find her.

185 Lyrebird Lake series is based around midwives. And I think some of the author other books are similar.

185 I haven’t read any of those books, so I’m not sure if this matches, but it starts as maid.

185 Thanks Rainbow :)
185 Not sure if it’s quite what you are looking for. The H’s in the Neighbours from Hell series are generally prays who have made a life out of annoying the not-yet-h’s. Then they have to turn things about.

185 I’ve got Salem on the brain.

Looking for GOOD books.

Fiction that’s truely based on real life. It doesn’t necessarily need to be Jane Doe’s personal and correct life story, but the surrounding facts and general story should be as close to fact as possible. No portholes to the multiverses or modern women wearing long dresses to show they are from the olden days etc. Unless of course there’s a good one about a modern woman getting dragged thru a porthole and showing us all the things that really did happened and how! ;)

Non-Fiction if you think it’s a good read. I struggle with dry facts and rather a story and/or characters to ‘invest’ in.

Thanks for looking :)

185 What’s the name of the book?

185 Maybe... Born of Magic.

Nuclear war takes off, a few thousand people are sent into space for a round trip of a few thousand years to see if they can wake up and repopulate a hopefully healed earth. One one guy survives and finds the earth did go on and the peeps that did survive have changed.

185 Everyone has a ‘desert island book’. When you’re asked, if you could only take one, which one would it be?

Over the years they change, and it’s so weird to look back and think, did I really think that book would see me through?

So, what’s your DIB List look like and what do your older choices make you think now?
