Just a guideline that helps all of us solve unknown titles:
Please do NOT delete your comments. It leaves a gap in the record, a gap which might contain some detail[s] that could help someone recognize the book.
This is not just for Alex, but for all of us. Alex, don't take it too personally. This is merely an opportunity to remind all of us.

The title of Girl.net: For... was changed in later editions to just Girl Net. They have same cover, so I counting this as solved.

This sounds a bit like Christmas at Candleshoe by Michael Innes. There was a scam involving a street kid posing as a long-lost granddaughter so her "handlers" could get the inheritance.

There was also a Disney movie.

Is Eye on Romance a group or a list on GR? Or is it another site. I'm not familiar with Romance forums. I did just check for either a group or list on GR, but did not find one by that name.
