I need advice.
History / Backstory:
I am a child free woman in a male dominated industry. In my building, but in a different department, is another ..."
I am a mother of two, and I really don't think you are doing anything wrong. Of course she is worried about losing another baby, but from what you have said it sounds like she is being overly obsessed with it. Paint really isn't going to affect the baby - I mean I even painted my baby's nursery when I was 6 months pregnant with him - but I know that won't help you in your situation. I mean you already researched and found paint that is the least harmless - I bet there aren't many people that would go to those lengths!
It is natural for a pregnant lady to go into 'nesting' mode, this often means that she will clean, scrub and sterilise everything as a way or preparing for the baby, it affects a lot of pregnant women (not me, however) - but she may just have a very severe case of this.
Best thing to do is not blame yourself for her behaviour, it's not your fault - blame the hormones!

Great to hear you enjoyed it :)
If you have time, it would be great if you could leave a review of the book on this thread - https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
it's always great to hear members thoughts on the book selections that are made.

We are excited to have 40 copies of our current book selection 'The Power' by Naomi Alderman to give away.
For a chance to win one, we welcome your feedback (good or bad) about Our Shared Shelf in the comments section below. These comments can include any features, changes, or additions that you think would benefit the Our Shared Shelf group. Is there anything that would encourage you to post more comments, or is there a reason that you do not join the discussions on here?
We will then pick 40 winners from the members who have given us the most useful feedback.
*We can't guarantee that all ideas and suggestions will be carried out.
The competition will close on Friday 24th November - so get those suggestions coming in! :)
Good Luck!

It's can sometimes be difficult to find the right balance, some people like the really heavy stuff that can be extremely difficult to read due to the themes, whilst others prefer something a little more light hearted (e.g Caitlin Moran).
As Ashley said there have only been 14 books so far, so there is plenty of time to tackle a subject which certain members will identify with more - but your book suggestions will definitely help us! :)

We are excited to have 100 copies of Hunger: A Memoir of (My) Body by Roxane Gay to give away! We are opening this competition worldwide, to win a copy of the current Our Shared Shelf book.
In Hunger, Roxane Gay explores her past—including the devastating act of violence that acted as a turning point in her young life—and brings readers along on her journey to understand herself.
To enter the competition, head to the book fairies website and complete the short form: https://goo.gl/oE8n3j. You can also find it by searching "hunger" on the site www.ibelieveinbookfairies.com.
[Edit: Updated] Good luck to everyone who enters our #OSShunger competition! It closes Friday, 29th September and the winners will be announced soon after.
