OK, that was an interesting tidbit of info! We have learned why she doesn't care for her hubby too much.

re: "Cersei admits that she and Jaime have been lovers since they were children and that when Jaime is in her she feels whole."

Ewwwwwww! I mean for that era it happened more than one would like to admit. But Ewwwwwwwwwww!

What is this white hart they are referring to from time to time?
177170 Yes she is very obnoxious.

I don't know. Maybe too much Tully and not enough Stark in her??? The Tullys we've met so far are not my favorite.

Sansa = 70% Tully, 30% Stark

I had heard about breakfast breaking the night's fast but had forgotten.

Excellent. Welcome.
Are you starting right back from book 1?

177170 Oh oh. I just realized a PS4 game I was once interested in buying is on for a good price (The Uncharted Collection). I MUST HAVE IT!!!

I am going to have trouble keeping on track with my reading of G.O.T. Crap, those first world problems!

Watched most of the first series of the TV show but it wasn't for me, so I kind of assumed the books wouldn't be either. Turns out I was wrong :)"

Welcome aboard!

For the following books I have the audiobooks through the E-library. It is such a sweet deal. If you load them onto an mp3 player they don't disappear after the lending period.

Sometimes I like to listen to the audiobook and follow along with the book in front of me. It keeps me from stopping and setting it down.
177170 I think Theon did the right thing as well.

177170 We are less than a month away till we move onto book #2.

*How is everyone making out?
*Are some of you waiting to start this group read at book #2?
*Are some of you waiting till a book further down the road?
*Are you enjoying the book?

Give us your updates.

I am keeping myself right on track. I have split the book into 8 sections (1 per week for the 2 month stretch) and make sure I read at least that chunk in that week. It helps keep me on track and not get overwhelmed with the size of the book. I am loving the book too. So much more to experience than the tv show.
177170 That was awesome of Jon for having Sam's back and suggesting they do something of use with him. He is right though. The Night's Watch does need every man. We all have strengths and just because Sam's isn't battle, he can definitely help them.

I love Jon more and more with each chapter.
177170 Ria wrote: ""He (Theon) smiled a lot, like the world were a secret joke that only he was clever enough to understand." - I loved this quote."

This is quite a witty quote. I flew past it and don't even remember it. Thanks for sharing.
177170 Exactly. Yep no Mom of the year award for her.
177170 I need me one of those direwolves! They kick ass!

Robb really should not have left Bran by himself like that. What was he thinking?
177170 OK, so just trouble makers in general then. Thanks.
177170 Can Viserys be any more obnoxious?!

re: the gift Dany was planning to give him (the belt with bronze medallions)

I wish she would have swung even harder when she hit him in the face. He is a cruel asshole!

177170 Oh very neat. Good luck with the challenge.

I can't get the picture big enough to actually read. Is it a G.O.T. plan for the challenge? If so I don't judge....I have a coiled book for all my monthly reading plans.

I am an obsessive planner myself.

177170 I give Ned credit for having the balls to oppose killing Dani and for choosing to leave the King's side. He did not want the job to being with. But I highly doubt this is something he can easily walk away from and go home to Winterfell without trouble.

177170 Oh good. I am glad that is better. You are very welcome.
177170 Exactly who were these attackers and why did they attack?
