Oh I loved the Rosie Effect and it's sequel. Great books :)
Was the Grownup your prompt for a book under a hundred pages?
I'm about halfway done
Freedom (Oprah book club selection) and struggling. It's not that it's poorly written I just can't seem to care about any of the characters. I loathe them all :) Going to give it a few more tries but I may have to put it down if I can't get any further with it this coming week.

I have finished Silence of the Grave for my 'The next book in a series you are reading' prompt. It's #4 in the Inspector Erlendur series but only ..."Have you read other books by Lisa Genova? I wasn't a huge fan of Inside the O'Brians but I loved Still Alice.
The series you are reading sounds very dark. How many books are in the series?

Feel better soon Tara :)
I read Room and One Plus One. I read Room really quick as I wanted to see the movie on Monday. I enjoyed the movie more than the book. Sometimes Jack frustrated me in the novel and I started skimming sections to get to the next point. One plus One I enjoyed, it was very easy book to get through and I didn't think I was going to like but I ended up quite enjoying it.
Katherine wrote: "I completed two books last week: Steel Scars (prequel) and When We Wake (science-fiction). My progress will be slowing down a bit, so I'm glad I'm a couple books ahead at this point."I see that When We Wake is part of a series, would you recommend it?
Charline wrote: "Hi everyone. I finished Devil In The White City which was interesting. I think it will make a great film, DiCaprio and Scorsese are doing it apparently. It was about a city and time I know nothing ..."Glad you found it interesting, I thought I read something about it being turned into a film. That should be really good.

I finished the
The Lake House this week which I really quite enjoyed and would recommend.
Also looking to read Room soon, I want to see the movie and debating whether to read the book first or see the movie before it leaves cinemas.
Tara wrote: "Wild the movie was boring! They cut all of her struggles and introspection not to mention 90% of the encounters she had on the trail. I'll never understand that! She nearly got assaulted at one poi..."I really disappointed by the movie too.
Tara wrote: "Mandy, I had heard bad things about it too so I went in prepared. I did like it for what it was, but if I'd been expecting what I initially thought it would be then I likely wouldn't have. It was h..."Good to know Tara. Thanks for the update :)

Hello! How did you like Go Set A Watchman Tara? I haven't heard good things about it. Did you like Wild Katherine? I read it and then watched the movie and really didn't enjoy the movie at all, book is always better :)
I hope you enjoy the Devil in the White City. It's a long read but I found it quite interesting.
I finished reading
Still Life with Breadcrumbs and now reading
The Lake House as it seems to be a book everyone is taking about. Happy reading everyone :)

Saw this article this morning, looks to be some good ones.

I'm currently reading
Landline which I'm using for the choice awards winner (winner of 2014 Fiction). I'm a little over 60% done with it and find it to be a very easy and so far enjoyable read.
Have a great week everyone - :)

I wasn't planning on doing this prompt but since I didn't have any more books on my holiday I dropped into a book store that was having a major clearance sale and picked up
Everything I Never Told You. It had an interesting cover and there was a review on the cover that said it brought to mind
The Lovely Bones which is a book I quite enjoyed so I purchased it. I was the first one that caught my eye so while it wasn't completely random it was the first book I picked up at a book store. I find this category risky, especially if you go into a used book store as often there is little rhyme or reason as to how books are catalogued. I think heading to the New Releases section is a good plan. My pick turned out alright, gave it a 3/5 as I found it somewhat predictable.

I'm an accountant and I just finished
Brooklyn, the protagonist is a bookkeeper training to be an accountant. It's definitely not the focus of the book but it does fit into the category for all my fellow accountants out there.

I actually quite enjoyed
Neil Patrick Harris: Choose Your Own Autobiography, it's good for a laugh and written like those choose your own adventure books you read as a kid.
I finished this prompt with
One More Thing: Stories and Other Stories and thought it was just ok. It was very random and I probably enjoyed less than half of the stories that he wrote but did think he wrote them all quite well.
Thanks for the link Tara. Let us know what you think of the Steve Martin book if you read it, sounds interesting :)

I'm off to a fairly good start. I'm actually in the middle of quite a few books as my fiance claimed my kobo while we were on holidays so I started to read a few paperbacks and then some e-books on my laptop and phone. I finished
One More Thing: Stories and Other Stories,
Everything I Never Told You, and
Brooklyn. I enjoyed Brooklyn the best and look forward to seeing the movie version to see how it compares. As for the Girl on the Train, I didn't understand all the hype either :)

I read a tree grows in Brooklyn and quite enjoyed it. I found it to be a long read but very well written.

LOL! Thanks for the suggestion Tara. I'll look it up!

I think I'm going to tackle either Margaret Atwood, George Martin or J.R.R. Toilken for this prompt.

Haha! I am going to read 50 Shades of Grey. I'm a little curious to find out what all the fuss is about. The movie was unintentionally hilarious so I think the book will be the same way.

I'm going to read Clara Hughe's memoir for this one.
Open Heart, Open MindI met her at the book signing for this in Calgary and she seemed like such a genuine lovely lady. I'm excited to read it.
