5. A book with text partially obscured by the cover art
Subtle Examples:

More Obvious Examples:

6. A book that includes something mentioned in William Shakespeare's Sonnet #25
Let those who are in favour with their stars
Of public honour and proud titles boast,
Whilst I, whom fortune of such triumph bars,
Unlook'd for joy in that I honour most.
Great princes' favourites their fair leaves spread
But as the marigold at the sun's eye,
And in themselves their pride lies buried,
For at a frown they in their glory die.
The painful warrior famoused for fight,
After a thousand victories once foil'd,
Is from the book of honour razed quite,
And all the rest forgot for which he toil'd:
Then happy I, that love and am beloved
Where I may not remove nor be removed.
For instance a book with: princes, victories, honor, sun, stars, leaves etc..
7. A book related to one of the traditional full moon names

- You have a total of 8 votes this poll to spread across your favorite and least favorite prompts (you can also use less than 8 votes)
- You can find examples of acceptable voting practices on the Introduction thread.
- The prompts with the more favorable votes (comparing top votes to bottom votes, and looking at the overall number of votes it received) will be added to the final list
We are asking people to include their Goodreads profile address when they vote. To find this, just go to your own profile and then copy the URL/web address. Kathy you can suggest or second something else - Harini beat you to it.

Just a reminder that you can find a full list of prompts already on the 2025 list in the third post on this thread.
How Suggestions Work:
- The topics for the 2025 reading challenge list will be determined by a series of mini-polls, the number of which depends on the number of prompts winning in each mini-polls
- Suggestions for each poll will be opened until 15 suggestions are received and “seconded”.
- The voting thread will open the day after suggestions go live. You can find the schedule here.
Rules:
- Each member can only suggest OR second one prompt
- Suggestions close after 15 total seconded prompts
When suggesting and seconding, feel free to provide examples and descriptions that may help other members understand the prompt better. These descriptions and examples will be copied over to the voting thread for further discussion.
As always, please express any and all feedback (respectfully, of course), either here or in The Wild Discussion.

To clarify, I personally don't want author prompts, but mod Emily is allowing them. You can definitely still suggest them.

I'll definitely be downvoting all author prompts - it's getting difficult for me to space them out well in our final list lol. I'd like to see a few more lists (always! haha). But at this point, I'm just looking forward to wrapping up the voting and moving on to the planning.
